I completely think he served his time, other criminals should get this kid of attention, he should be allowed to play in peace...but getting endorsed, atleast this soon is crazy

I tend to believe Nike. Or maybe I WANT to believe Nike.

  • #1,025
It ends up Nike is associated with Mr. Vick anyway. If you watch the Eagles on TV, you'll see Vick in uniform with the Nike swoosh right on the front shoulder. Makes for great TV.

I think Vick was disgusting for what he did to those dogs. I also believe Vick paid a heavy price in time, money, and reputation. I further believe Vick is entitled to a second chance - isn't that what God and country are all about?

Let's see what he does in the future before we try to cut him off at the knees. Once in a while someone does reform.

Only my opinion.

Well I'm not a pro football fan. BUT, I am tempted to watch an Eagles game to see if the swoosh disappears from the uniforms, or watch the fuzzy blur dot cover Vick's swoosh, or find out which defensive players are dog lovers, or see fan reactions at all the visiting places they play..... All more entertaining than the game itself - at least to me.

Ok. I get it. I wanted to watch a game with Vick (hoping that he got booed), but I couldn't stomach looking at him.

Dear Trident,

Your post is perfect, correct, and heartfelt. I agree in the spirit of your post wholeheartedly.

BUT . . .

I just can't do it. Can't. Won't. There is something missing in this guy's soul. He radiates evil to me.

Unless he does spectacular things to make people change their minds I don't see too many people willing to give him a second chance.

BET Goes to the Dogs With Michael Vick Reality Show

Here's my favorite part ....

""PETA, as expected, has already spoken out in opposition to the series and, more specifically, to the idea of Vick profiting in the wake of his atrocious acts. There's no word on how much Vick, whose company is also coproducing the show, is being paid.

Somewhat surprisingly on Vick's side—in addition to the Eagles—is the Humane Society, which has recruited the footballer to help in their campaign to end inner-city abuse of dogs.""

Sounds like a war between PETA and Humane Society with MV in the middle? A no win situation for MV.

BET Goes to the Dogs With Michael Vick Reality Show

http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/b147846_bet_goes_dogs_with_michael_vick_reality.html

According to the Los Angeles Times, the freshly reinstated (sorry, Kendra & Hank) NFL star will feature in an eight-part documentary-style reality show to air early next year on the cable net.

From the article;

"I just want people to really get to know me as an individual," he told the paper.

I don't think that's gonna be a very good idea MV.

Police: Pa. man killed puppy before Steelers game

BRIDGEVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Police say a western Pennsylvania man told them he kicked his girlfriend's puppy to death because he was upset that the pit bull wouldn't behave before the start of the Pittsburgh Steelers game.

Twenty-two-year-old William Woodson, of Bridgeville, remained jailed Monday on a charge of animal cruelty.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazettes reports that a witness told police that Woodson was kicking the dog down the street shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday, which is when the football game began. Police say Woodson was supposed to be taking the pit bull for a walk, but the animal resisted. By the time police arrived, the puppy was dead.

Police say Woodson didn't like the dog and was upset that his live-in girlfriend bought it.

The following post is JMO...of course, they all are, but I feel the need to stress that. :)
IMO, MV is a sociopath. In true sociopath form, I think he is smug, conniving, and believes he is better than everyone. His apology was insincere, and I think he said what he did simply to "make peace" so he could ultimately get his way (play in the NFL again) and he has.
I also think that PLAYING a GAME and making MILLIONS is a PRIVILEGE that someone who abuses and murders innocent animals does not deserve. Anyone who abuses animals or children is a true coward, IMO.
(This is coming from the girl who, not long after MV's conviction, saw a guy at a bar with a MV jersey on, demanded he take it off and give it to me, and mailed it to the humane society in ATL )
OK, off my soapbox. :)
P.S. I'm a reality TV junkie, and not one single part of me wants to know any part of the "real" MV.

Report: Michael Vick got ‘adrenaline' rush while killing dogs

By Rhonda Cook
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Michael Vick seemed to get an “adrenaline high” when he killed dogs that didn’t measure up at his now-defunct Virginia dog fighting operation, according to documents obtained by WSB TV.

The records from the U.S. Department of Agriculture -- part of the federal investigation of the former Atlanta Falcons, now Philadelphia Eagle, quarterback – describe graphically how Vick and others at Bad Newz Kennels killed dogs that lost or refused to fight.

Losing was not accepted, according to the records.

”All of the pit bull dogs were destroyed after they lost a fight or refused to fight,” an unnamed confidential witness told investigators. “The dog that won the fight was the only dog that was allowed to live.”

more here -- **warning** it's sickening to read how the dogs were killed

I can't imagine why anyone would want to be anywhere near this 🤬🤬🤬 & why he was allowed to play pro football again!
