Since we haven't been able to find any public interactions between DE and Nicole, I wonder what led law enforcement to DE. )If we assume JM the "masked" guy has nothing to do with this--I doubt that he is DE). I wonder if it was phone records. Or that one screenshot of her Kik from Instagram? That had to have gone through so many profiles. It's amazing to think about all of the people they probably talked to.

I'm not seeing the connection between her KIK screen shot and DE. Can someone point out what you're seeing?

One other thought is who knows if she ever actually met any of these guys in person before. It's easy to think you are falling for someone online and then you actually meet them and suddenly are scared because the comfort you felt behind the screen is gone.

As for him, if he's very insecure, then I could see him going for younger girls and not girls his same age. Maybe liked the power and control he could have over her, which wouldn't be as easy to do as a VA Tech freshman girl would.

9 weeks ago on her public IG she posted a screenshot of her Kik account. It is a list of recent messages. One of them is from "David A" and it has a picture of DE.

There's no way he thought she was 18+. Not a chance. I can guess his motives but what I do know is that there's just no way he thought she was 18. She looks way too young and sounds (from what she typed) way too young.

And yes, as others said above, there are plenty of other college freshmen he could have hooked up with.

There is no way this all happened by chance.

I think it depends on what pics he saw. I am around college freshman every day and many of them look like her. Some of the girls look 13 or 14 even though they are 18. I in fact looked young when I was in college as I can recall having birthday parties in restaurants and the staff thinking I was sweet 16 instead of 21. You can also doctor yourself up in a photo to look older. We don't know what photos he saw. Also, even if he did not think she was 13, he could have thought she was 16 or 17. Still too young and illegal, but there is not much age difference between 16 and 19 so he might have went for it.

An older person looking at that pic is going to think she looks 13 but a younger person might not think that.

It also seems to me from reading her instagram that it seems like she might have had a boyfriend and she was sad she got dumped. Someone may have taken advantage of that, made her feel pretty, and made her feel she was getting a new boyfriend. He played on her emotions to either set out for sex or set out to deliberately kill. Poor girl, she had no way of knowing what danger she was in.

Just wanted to make a correction - earlier I'd posted about DE being in Washington County - not sure where I read that, but it's incorrect. He's in the Montgomery County jurisdiction.

"David A"

What is interesting is that he was first listed as David A. Eisenhauer when arrested, now he's being identified as David E. Eisenhauer.

Yeah, why he is in MD? I know he is from there but he was arrested at the dorms I believe so why would they have crosses state lines? Unless I am wrong about them arresting at the dorms. I remember reading that in one of the news articles

As for him, if he's very insecure, then I could see him going for younger girls and not girls his same age. Maybe liked the power and control he could have over her, which wouldn't be as easy to do as a VA Tech freshman girl would.

This was the case with ARS, who killed :rose: Jessica Ridgeway :rose: . He initially attacked an adult female jogger in May. Later that year in October he went for a younger, weaker victim, 12 year old Jessica. Her case is classic is demonstrating how some predators do not always operate within certain age perameters (the same is true with some serial killers with regards to gender preference).

In Nichole's case, we do not know any of the details at this point, while it does seem obvious that a social media/internet connection could be present, different from some other cases being discussed for reference, such as Jenise's, Maddie's and Jessica's murders, but I'm guessing the bottom line is going to be the same. Rape and murder of a minor.

Anxiously awaiting to see how this unfolds, I further speculate to say the defense attorneys are going to have a field day with this one. I've mentioned in another thread about me having the misfortune of having to attend a group dinner with one of these defense attorneys, representing a 20 something year old iirc accused of SA on a young girl. The attorney was telling us what he planned to say in court the next day, about how this girl was promiscuous, she brought it on, basically blaming the victim, anyway I told him he doesn't stand a chance because the girl is a CHILD and to go on the stand blaming the victim hardly does well in shining a good light on him and his client (or maybe I didn't tell him that so he could go look like an a$$ in court).

Nichole might have opened herself up to a very, very dangerous situation that cost her her life. Bless her heart, makes me so sad, I'm sure I would have done the same if the Internet was around when I was a teenager. No doubt.

He still killed a little girl, whatever the case.

Also it seemed like there was a frantic search bc if the liver medications and it seemed like if she did not get medicines one day she could go into liver failure. Could that have happened? Maybe he kidnapped her, held her hostage somewhere and then she died w liver failure?

Autopsy results will be very interesting in this case to disprove the above scenario.

But yeah, above poster is right. A defense attorney will have a field day w this especially if there is any medical doubt on how she died, like whether she died from liver failure or there was head trauma, stabbing, etc. If there was not head trauma or stabbing it might be a very hard case to prove beyond a reasonable doubt and they would have to go with felony murder. I am not sure what are the elements to prove a kidnapping, it seems she went willingly but is there a consent element that is mitigated for minors who have been lured online? Like statutory rape, even if she went willingly, it would still be kidnapping? I am not sure of the law on that

I was just about to ask the same thing. The press release from Blacksburg police said he was arrested in Blacksburg.

It appears there is also a Montgomery County VA, which is where Blacksburg is.

Could be a Montgomery County in VA??? Cause he's from Columbia MD which is Howard County.

This says he did not confess or tell police where to find her body. Not sure if that was discussed up thread - it's been moving so fast.
"The Roanoke Times newspaper quoted Wilson as saying that Eisenhauer has not confessed to involvement in Lovell's death and did not give police information that led to the discovery of her body. No information was given on how Lovell and Eisenhauer had initially made contact with each other."

But, do we know that's actually DE, or just someone that looks similar to DE?
