GUILTY VA - Zell Howard, 10 mos, fatally stabbed & Winter Ganoe, 8, critically stabbed, Newport News, May 2021 *mom arrest*

NEWPORT NEWS (WAVY) — Court documents describe a large amount of blood in several bedrooms in the case against Sarah Ganoe, 35, of Newport News, Virginia.

She is charged with the fatal stabbing of her infant son, 10-month-old Zell Howard, and the critical stabbing of her 8-year-old daughter.

Police say the little boy had multiple stab wounds and was slashed in the abdomen and the girl had similar injuries including at least 50 stab wounds. She was taken to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia but the boy was pronounced dead in the apartment.

Police say the weapon was a pocket knife with a two-and-a-half-inch blade.

A neighbor says Ganoe had told him directly that she was into witchcraft.

“She told me she liked to dip into witchcraft a little bit,” said Clay Connell.

“Don’t be sad, but the house will be bloody when you get home,” was the text Ganoe sent to her fiance John Howard Monday night, according to police.

If there were multiple prior domestic calls to the home, where the hell was CPS?

I feel so sorry for those babies and all the first responders, investigators and healthcare workers who witnessed this horrific scene. I hope they are given appropriate support, therapy, time off as needed.

Oh lord, I just saw this:
Mother accused of stabbing baby to death also lost infant daughter in 2012. Police now are reviewing that case.

I don’t think we should jump to conclusions. The trauma of losing a child before could have increased her odds of developing PPD/ PTSD. Horrible.

OMG! WTF did I just read?! This is horrific. Those poor babies. Innocent children. Horrible death for the little boy. And the little girl? I mean, if she was disemboweled will she have to have a colostomy bag for the rest of her life?! How traumatic to remember anything regarding this event. House of horrors right here. I can’t even fathom.....

Did you look through her FB? I think she may have been dabbling in some sketchy dark magic realms. Might not have been a healthy subject if she was having post partum issues at same time...

Although I don't have FB I can only say it is all about intent. Any old person can call themselves a witch.

Unless she studied almost every Religion and belief practice known JMO she is not a witch.

People should never open doors to something they know nothing about. Just from the sounds of it she walked in the dark. Regarding FB I mean.

As far as what she did to her children? Weather postpartum depression or anger at ex husband or insanity that's some evil unimaginable horrific stuff.

The only thing new to me was that her partner called 911 while driving home after receiving that scary text. I’m glad to hear he did that. And very sorry for him and the scene he found as he beat 911 to his home/crime scene.
