You're not alone, I've never had a cell either (and if fortune continues smiling upon me, I never will. lol).

My father refuses to get one. I wish he would because he'll go to the store or somewhere and be gone hours after my mom gets home from work--cause he retired--and he'll wander in 4 hours after she's been home, and she's all worried about him. But he also has no call-waiting and rotary on the house phone--and dial up internet.

I wasn't saying it was NEEDED to view/post on WS, just that for me personally I thought it was easier/more convenient than using a browser. Lots of peeps here actually have/use it. :)

MOO

I love tapatalk!

^^^^What she said!

It is so much faster for me!
I also love to use it when I am streaming something
so I don't have to swap screens or do a side by side.

what bugs me is there is so much more evidence that wasn't admissible because it was too prejudicial to JA....

IIRC, before leaving Travis home she locked Travis bedroom door & put up the pet gate on the stairs to keep Napoleon from going up there.

I've been curious from the start about that poor dog....was anyone feeding him or letting him out during the 5 days Travis lay rotting?

Some of these jurors on the extended After Dark show don't understand the difference between a premeditated rage killing and manslaughter/heat of passion. Scary.

OK. Good. That's what I was trying to find out. I didn't realize Juan had actually spoken with MM. So, he's just disappeared. Poof!

He was the one who testified that he had the letters from Travis (letters apologizing for beating her and the pedophile stuff) which turned out to be fake. She also said that he saw her bruises when Travis hit her.

Now they're busy with Latisha running around Walmart with a gas can.

I turned it on as they had producer Natisha Lance trying to return a gas can wo a receipt to a Walmart in AZ.

What a waste of time for a producer. I spent some time with Natisha in Orlando a few years ago, and she is a great person! Very smart, and they have lowered her to this??? It just ticks me off. NG couldn't have covered the CA case wo Natisha. She was fantastic!

Off my soap box now. Sorry....

I think you're right. They found her guilty but they're going to spend Monday debating that danged camera in the washer issue, just to make her sweat.

lol

Hopefully.

ITA with both of you! They're going home to sleep on this most important decision and return back fresh on Monday. I fully expect a guilty verdict first thing Monday morning.
I like the idea they're making her sweat though. I hadn't thought of that!!

HLN is doing Juries. They should have 8 men and 4 women on it.Also men get the sex part with Travis so Jodi ship is sinking.

I think the male jurors are more likely to give JA a break because they are more naive about how truly evil a woman can be.

The one thing I've never understood is one of his friends said the house stunk. I can't remember who said it, but I know it wasn't a roommate. It was someone who came over to check on him. Did the roommate not smell anything? I guess since they thought he was already in Cancun they were watching Napoleon? It sounds like the relationship with the roommate was rather distant IMO.

Yes. I think "boarder" is a better term to describe Travis' roommates. They weren't buddies, just guys who needed a place to stay and didn't want to rent an apartment.

Thank you <insert humbled tears> it is an honor and so easy to do with members like you and all here at Websleuths. I am kinda feeling sad tonight, realizing this is for the most part my last big trial online. My eyes have grown so bad and the computer makes them worse - so I have to cut way back after the case. But, I will be here when I can and I will always remember the wonderful people I met and was touched by along the way!
(Won't need the moisturizing eye drops tonight! LOL)

 I can now mention my son's name without it being affiliated with Jodi's friend with the zit infested chin. YAYYYYYY! There are amazing people on this planet named Donovan, check out my photo album on WS, and you can see what Donovans are supposed to look like.

In this post, I was asking Nurmi why she didn't lie to Ryan if she'd already known she was going to Travis' house.

Nurmi is making up a theory that in itself doesn't make sense. He is saying that Jodi called Ryan and told him she was coming there. He asked why she'd do that if she was on a mission to kill Travis.

I asked myself that question because it was a VERY important question to me. And I came up with my answer--Zach. Had Zach not been there, she wouldn't have been but a couple hours late to Ryan.

But for Nurmi's defense, this call poses problems. Ryan was the last call Jodi made. That means--according to Jodi's story--she already knew she was going to Travis' house. So why not lie to Ryan and make an excuse to be late, so that Ryan won't know she's going to Travis'?

Nurmi claims the trip was not covert. Nurmi claims Travis talked Jodi into coming there. There was no secret killing planned. So if that's true, why wouldn't Jodi make something up to Ryan to cover for the fact that she actually was going to see Travis? You know, so Ryan won't know that she's visiting yet another ex on her trip?

Am I making sense? Let's pretend Jodi didn't plan to murder Travis. But she decided to see him after he begged her. She knows she'll with Travis, visiting him for a while, right? She won't just go there, wave at him and get back on the road. So it stands to reason on that last call to Ryan, she would have told him SOMETHING so he wouldn't expect her in 12 hours. See what I am saying?

But Nurmi is using the question as I was using the question in my mind earlier. Days earlier, I wanted to know why a killer would call Ryan and say she'd be there in 12 hours if she was planning on going to Mesa and killing Travis. It's a natural question. If it wasn't, Nurmi wouldn't have brought it up. And he brought it up to trip up the jurors. That's why I'm so animated about this question.

My answer is Zach threw her plan off. I hope the jury comes up with a similar reason and doesn't get tripped up by this. That's all I'm trying to say. I just wish others would understand what I'm saying and not :floorlaugh: at me for talking about questions.

First, I think it was Enrique who was home that night. He stayed in the room next to Travis'.

I understand your curiosity about this. It bugged me back in January or February. But then I decided that since she lies, she was just lying to Ryan, and her excuse was going to be: I got lost and I slept. She wouldn't have cared if Ryan was expecting her sooner and worrying. She's not a considerate person.

But I do think her plan took longer to execute than she had anticipated and she was later than she planned to be. I think she had to wait for Enrique to leave, she fell asleep, and then he had to get up her nerve. And taking those pix in the shower was a ploy to get him in a vulnerable position, and to plan where she was going to cut him.. It was part of her mental practice. She was prepping.

I'll tell you why she told Ryan she was going to be there in 12 hours when she knew she would be late - because she was winging that part. She's done that before in her life, I'm certain because impulsive liars do that. She figured she'd think of something and she did. She said she got lost. It's not hard to figure out.

She also testified that MM had unregistered guns (illegal in CA) that she could have used if she wanted a gun. Nurmi also made reference to this today.

To make it clearer, the cell phone time gap (at least 10 hours) was the primary obstacle for Jodi. She knew she would be grilled on it by detectives. You're on a long road trip to Utah and here your cell phone is turned off for a considerable amount of time, just enough time to ghost your way in and out of Arizona to commit the murder. Why not stop or pull over somewhere to buy a new charger if your other one was lost? She tells dead Travis, "I got lost, driving 100 miles in the wrong direction" and later tells Flores something similar. Basically, I couldn't pull over anywhere to buy a new charger because I was "stranded" -- the exact word she uses when talking to Flores in her first video recorded interview about the cell phone issue. So the lost/stranded cover story is intended to EXPLAIN why she took so long to turn on her cell phone and to help sell this story she tells Burns that she'll be arriving at 9:00AM -- to give evidence of a DELAY that would corroborate her "I was stranded" cover up for the cell phone time gap.
I understand 100% what you are saying, I just cannot explain it, myself, to anyone else.

If she got cash, she would be required to sign a receipt, to prove the cashier gave her the money. I know this from being on both sides of the counter.

the mention of cash - reminded me of what Nurmi said - she stopped at WA Mutual to deposit cash into her 2 accounts. WHERE did she get this CASH to deposit? $$ from her "tricks" with Matt and Darryl???

They went home for the weekend and will be back at 09:00h Monday Arizona time (12:00h EST). Hopefully we have a verdict moments later. :seeya:

I wonder if they took a poll just to see where they all stood before they left today

We're all tired, tired of Jodi, tired of Nurmi, tired of the fog, tired of the pocket hose.

You know what else I'm tired of? I'm tired of panelists on HLN who face lifts and eye jobs make them look like an alien burglar wearing a pantyhose mask.

That is what I was just saying. According to the roommate he thought TA was already in Cancun. So, I'm guessing he was watching the dog? I keep thinking about it from a married woman/Mom point of view and not a single young guy. I would think he would know the week he was responsible for the dog, but I guess not. I read the same thing about the door and the gate. I'm also surprised Napoleon never made it up the steps especially with the smell.

That one guy, that was on HLN one night, cannot think of his name, loaned her money to go to Mesa cause she was freaking out about Travis.
