But everyone does things different.... Have you ever driven up in those mtns? I see nothing wrong with him changing clothes or getting lost... MOO

Wondering how many people go on an overnight trip and lose clothing.....

I think it's obvious that Jason changed his clothes so he could smoke a cigar in super windy conditions. He didn't want to get smoke all over the clothes he'd spent hours sweating in on the drive up. Better to put on clean clothes.

See how much sense that makes?

Me neither.

And then those clothes smelled so bad from the cigar, he threw them out.
Yeppers. Makes no sense at all.

I've left my hotel room late at night, and it was so windy, our car almost blew off the road during the drive, so we stopped at a restaurant before continuing on. But no sooner did we reach our hotel room that I went outside, to stand in the wind; it whipped my hair against my face and stung like a slap.

But I would have done almost anything at that point to get away from the affects of my husband's Mexican dinner.

So an hour and a half into deliberations, Christi Paul just NOW finds out the 'in concert' option was included? Wow. Way to stay on top of the trial, guys.

Also noticing there's no verdict watch timer on the screen.

Just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed spending my time with you guys here during this trial....even the NG folks as you help balance my thoughts with your insights. My heart is now with M and L F. and regardless of the verdict, I hope they can get on with their lives with dignity. I am certain they will continue to shower CY with love and affection and will do everything possible to compensate for the loss of her beautiful mother.
JY is a vile and nasty man, guilty or not, and I hope if he is found not guilty he will leave this area and we will never hear his name again in any capacity.
Again, I love you guys and am looking forward to moving on to the next trial with you!

What makes me nervous about the possibility of JY walking is CY. Especially in light of the Powell case. The kids aged and began to talk, and look what happened. That's extreme of course, and unlikely to happen again, but still, as a witness of the murder, CY would always be in danger IMO. At the least, JY should have to undergo a psych eval before he could ever have 2 seconds of unsupervised time with CY.

Powell did undergo a psych eval as it happens, not that it did any good. Here's some interesting stuff out of it:

Cognitive functioning is in the above-average range.

He appears somewhat reluctant to recognize faults or problems in himself.

The respondent’s interpersonal style seems best characterized as friendly and extraverted. He will usually present a cheerful and positive picture in the presence of others.

Very little capacity at this time to rein in his opinions and commentary.

Anger triggers: The Cox family (wife’s family) makes him very angry.

Strengths:
Demonstrated competent parenting skills;
positive loving bond with child ;
no history of criminality;
no history of substance abuse;
no history of aggressive behaviors;
no history of child abuse or neglect

Sounds eerily familiar.

I interrupt this thread to inform all lovers of the show Revenge on ABC that I just started a Revenge thread in the Jury room. Go rave, and rant that we aren't getting another new show until April! It will take your mind off this waiting game!

SORRY FOR O/T!
Please return to your regularly scheduled thread

Oh my! :floorlaugh:

If he's acquitted (which I doubt), he may give his sister custody of CY. I don't think he'll want to be a full time daddy. He has to use up those condoms.
