Tanya was estranged from her family, also from Tatiana's father, who LE has identified. Because she was estranged, she was not reported missing by anyone.

Tanya Denise Jackson, a Persian Gulf War veteran from Mobile, is the woman previously known as Gilgo Beach homicide victim Jane Doe No. 3, or "Peaches," whose mutilated torso was discovered in a wooded area at Hempstead Lake State Park in Lakeview on June 28, 1997, officials said. Toddler Tania Marie was dumped along Ocean Parkway near Gilgo Beach around the same time, though her skeletal remains would not be found until April 2011, the homicide squad’s commanding officer said.

The remains of the mother and daughter, who were living in Brooklyn at the time they were killed, were recently buried at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort near Mobile, records show.

He mentions that Tanya may have worked at a doctor's office, and a neighbour or friend may have watched Tatiana whilst Tanya worked. It's mostly been assumed that Peaches was a sex worker, but maybe she didn't work in that field at all.

How sad that a young woman and her toddler can disappear and nobody notices.

It does sound more like they may have been killed by someone who knew them (neighbour, Tanya's romantic interest, etc) rather than someone who preyed on SWers. But I don't think enough is known about Tanya's life around the time she was killed, she may have been doing survival SW.

Tanya Densie Jackson was born on October 22, 1970.

Tatiana Marie Dykes was born March 17, 1995.

Tanya graduated W.P. Davidson High School in Mobile, Alabama on May 25, 1990.

Tanya is a Veteran who was a Private First Class in the US Army and has served in the Gulf War.

After serving in the Army and defending our Country, Tanya moved about- locations for her include Mobile, Alabama and San Antonio, Texas.

Tanya gave birth to her daughter, Tatiana in 1995 and had 2 addresses in Brooklyn, NY:

• • 54th Street in Red Hook, Brooklyn
  • Sterling Place in Bed-Sty, Brooklyn
  • She also had P.O. Boxes in Brooklyn and Maplewood, NJ.

While we do not yet know the circumstances of their murders, we do know that Tanya and Tatiana have (like all of the girls), have captured our attention and our empathy. It is a blessing to know that authorities have not given up on any of these victims. Also of note, Othram was a partner in building the DNA Profiles of Tanya and Tatiana.

When reviewing Tanya’s Brooklyn locations on my map, proximity to known LISK locations are profound; the reader may draw their own conclusions.

Tanya and her little one Tatiana are buried together in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Mother and Daughter, separated by time and miles, together again. Rest in Peace.

RH seemed to have a thing for leaving torsos in woodland and heads and limbs on the beaches. He did it with both Jessica and Valerie only a few years after Tanya was killed.

I'm still not entirely convinced. The MO isn't the same if the victim profile is too different. If Tanya had never engaged in sex work and all of the other victims have, plus the additional features of her being murdered with her toddler which is something we don't see for any other victim, then I can see why other options must also be explored such as them being murdered by someone who knew them.

There's no evidence Sandra did sex work either, as far as I know.

They don’t want to traumatize or stigmatise her or her family and friends. Perhaps thinking it will deter people from coming forward. And that must not happen. Obviously. The killer of T&T is the most vile imaginable and must suffer the consequences.

The thing is RH’s MO is so broad, we don’t know whom he may have targeted. It could be any attractive Xx/Xy.
