Eh, dismemberment is a fairly common MO not specific to RH. Easy to prevent ID, easy to conceal and transport a body.
Did Tanya have a boyfriend back then? Was she involved in anything illegal, sexwork or the drug scene? Who did she associate with?

There’s signs this all points to Rex’s doing, but the MO isn’t fitting with me mainly because of the child, Tatiana. I know stranger things have happened but I dunno…

First off I apologize to Tanya for writing this which is assuming she was a SW but this is about finding who is responsible for her horrific death and the death of Tatiana and as of today both were found in the area that RH disposed of his victims and what are the odds that someone else chose this spot out of all the places available?

It wouldn't surprise me at all IF TDJ was a SW and TMD ended up going with her to meet RH.
We know about RH's internet searches and it could have been as simple as TDJ didn't have a babysitter and RH said no problem.
We don't know anything about TDJ and she may have been desperate for money for reasons we also don't know.
Many vets suffer when returning to civilian life and spiral into addictions and chaos.

I 've always hoped that LE searched in the Heuerman residence.for the mate to the flowered pillow case that was found with TDJ .

Tanya was a single mother who relied on others to babysit her child. If she did go down the sex work route, then there may have been times when she needed to take Tatiana with her. This was extremely common back then. As was pointed out above, there are many pathways between leaving the army and sex work. Many veterans suffer with addiction issues. 17% of enlisted personnel in the Gulf War reported problem drinking after leaving the army.

True but it seems to be some dumping ground. If I remember correctly, there were other murder victims such as an Asian man on Gilgo Beach that are proven not to be connected to RH.

Not saying he absolutely did not do it but even LE does not seem to follow this route. There are more killers in the world, sadly, that dismember their victims. Actually very common, look at Evelyn Colons murder. And Gilgo Beach is remote and wide enough to be a popular dumping ground. Maybe RH actually chose it deliberately after finding out about other murders there. Gives more cover and anonymity

To me, it's pretty obvious Rex murdered Tanya and Tatiana and they're just casting as wide of a net as they possibly can with this "we're not ruling anything out" and the $25,000 reward. Not every murder and dismemberment in the New York Metro area for the last 40 years is the work of Heuermann, but pretty safe to assume a murder victim found 250 feet from a known Rex victim is likely his crime, too.

Remember that this particular case has been cold since 1997, and since identifying that there is a "LISK," it still took them 13 years to make an arrest. If there was a plethora of evidence, both of those things would have happened much sooner.

I wouldn't read too much into what the cops say about "we aren't saying if it's connected or not," the above fact alone makes it connected, what matters is what they can prove in court. If they go around openly saying the murders they think RH committed, it will make jury selection a lot harder.

Remember that RH was only officially named as a suspect for Maureen Brainard-Barnes when he was arrested for 3 of the GB4. After that, he was never named a suspect in Jessica Taylor or Sandra Costilla's murders, just vague statements about how the investigation is ongoing.

And Ray Tierney only quietly named RH a suspect in Valerie's murder because it was so obvious when he was charged with Jessica (Tierney said "I think that would be fair to say" in response to that question).

It was not "proven" anywhere that RH is not responsible for Asian Doe, and in fact, his search history from the very first bail document we received indicates what could be an interest in Asian Doe.

Wow, Peaches and her baby are finally ID’d! This will no doubt answer many questions. Whoever her roommate or neighbor is who took care of the baby is likely another victim.

Tanya Densie Jackson was born on October 22, 1970.

Tatiana Marie Dykes was born March 17, 1995.

Tanya graduated W.P. Davidson High School in Mobile, Alabama on May 25, 1990.

Tanya is a Veteran who was a Private First Class in the US Army and has served in the Gulf War.

After serving in the Army and defending our Country, Tanya moved about- locations for her include Mobile, Alabama and San Antonio, Texas.

Tanya gave birth to her daughter, Tatiana in 1995 and had 2 addresses in Brooklyn, NY:

• • 54th Street in Red Hook, Brooklyn
  • Sterling Place in Bed-Sty, Brooklyn
  • She also had P.O. Boxes in Brooklyn and Maplewood, NJ.

While we do not yet know the circumstances of their murders, we do know that Tanya and Tatiana have (like all of the girls), have captured our attention and our empathy. It is a blessing to know that authorities have not given up on any of these victims. Also of note, Othram was a partner in building the DNA Profiles of Tanya and Tatiana.

When reviewing Tanya’s Brooklyn locations on my map, proximity to known LISK locations are profound; the reader may draw their own conclusions.

Tanya and her little one Tatiana are buried together in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Mother and Daughter, separated by time and miles, together again. Rest in Peace.

Sandra Castillo (spelling?) found near in a park where he would go to to shooting competitions. Iirc, that was 1996. She was also mutilated and possibly posed.

Tanya was murdered and dismembered in 1997 and depending on if Tatiana was with a friend, who possibly was also known to the killer or stalked by the killer, Tatiana may have been killed later.- Finding out who watched the baby will be extremely important.

2000 Valerie Mack dismembered with torso left in Manorville and body parts found along OP.

2003 Jessica Taylor, same as Valerie.

Even though RH seems to have consistently changed up his MOs, I’d put money on him knowing Tanya and her life story and being her murderer.

Please someone remind me when did the first wife leave him and what year did he marry Asa? I know it was soon after Karen disappeared. And I know that his mom moved to Palmyra, VA in 1994.

I understand TDJ being estranged from her family and TMD's father therefore no one reporting her missing but there was a supposed babysitter, a landlord? an employer?

IIRC: SWs shy away from reporting other SW missing due to not wanting to get involved with LE.
Twenty five years ago probably less reporting then even now.
Maybe she was homeless and stayed at a shelter with TMD?

IIRC: RH married his first wife in 1990 and divorced in 1994.
RH & AE were married in April 1996 and VH was born in October 1996.
