On 05/15/88 an individual fishing in an area located approximately 1 mile south of the Canadian Border near the Cannan / Averill, VT town line, located human remains. These remains were transported to the OCME where they were determined to be that of a 16 to 22 year old white female but were not positively identified at that time (Jane Doe). Attempts were made to identify the remains using dental records, but were unsuccessful. The investigators attempted to link the remains to multiple missing person’s cases but were unsuccessful. The hair and skull were submitted to the FBI lab. The FBI created a facial reconstruction.
