Seattle Fire reported two of the victims have life threatening injuries and are being transported to Harborview Medical Center. Police reported the incident at Third Avenue and Pine Street about 6:45 p.m.

Seattle Police are still looking for the shooter.
Andy Wittenberg was shopping at Walgreens when the shooting happened. He said people ran into the store saying, “Get cover, get down.”

Police are believed to be looking for two suspects.

Specific details about the motive for the shooting and information about the suspect(s) were not immediately available. Fox 13 News will update this story as more details emerge.

A police spokesman told reporters the shooting appeared to be a result of some kind of argument on the street. The suspect turned to walk away and turned back and opened fire, police said.

The suspect then fled on foot.


Police said they were bringing members of the gang unit and homicide unit in to investigate the shooting.

On Wednesday night, two of the patients were in critical condition, but as of Thursday morning, two had improved to serious condition. Two others are in satisfactory condition and one has been discharged from the hospital.
