This is from the KING 5 website. There is supposed to be a video of KING talking to Andre-Anna's father also. I could not get it to work. Here is the transcript from KING on how he responded to their question:
LAKEWOOD – A day after bones found in a nearby field were determined to be those 10-year-old Adre'Anna Jackson, the girl's father again sought to disperse the cloud of suspicion that has followed him through the investigation.

Early in the investigation, Federici and Jackson's mother were both interviewed by police and given lie-detector tests. Federici said he passed his.

When KING 5 News asked him Thursday whether he had anything to do with Adre'Anna's disappearance, Federici said "absolutely no."

And, he said, the discovery of the body was proving painful as well.

"What makes it hard is knowing the body was there when it could have been found right away," Federici said.

"Knowing that the body has been there a long time, it sounds like, that's what's troubling," Federici said. "And the person that did it got a four-month head start on us."

Question would you ever refer to beautiful Andre-Anna as "the body". He is one cold fish.

Just as I was going to post this the 5:00 news came on and I saw the video of Federici. When asked if he had anything to do with her disappearance he would not look at the camera and said absolutely not. No emotion.

What SHOULD be "making it hard" is that the child was found DEAD....sounds to me like a mental slip that he knew she was dead all along.

What a sad ending for this little girl. At least in heaven she has lots of people of all ages that love her. Poor little thing.

I don't know about her parents...if they did or not. I don't find anything strange about what the stepdad said when he was informed. A lot of people including LE say "body" instead of using the name of the deceased. He may have just been repeating the term LE had used.

I don't think it strange that he was mowing the lawn. People handle grief in so many different ways. I have a friend whose son was killed in a auto accident. She didn't miss one day of work. I think that was her way of not coming to grips with his death. This man may have just felt the need to busy himself.

I do odd things to distract me when I am bothered. But I also fall apart when I hear about a tragedy. I do find the mowing the lawn extremely odd but I don't find the friend going to work odd at all. It could be there is a support network there. The grass has never been that supportive. I am being cynical again. I am just not thinking these "parents" had her interest at heart.

I just got done watching the interview, and will not hold back on my opinion. Not once did he ever look at the camera. When asked if he had anything to do with it he said absolutely NO never heard that before, absolutely not makes sense but No. This guy is as guilty as they come, he states that the murderer has a four month head start, yeah and he hopes LE will think the same and start looking elsewhere. I hope they turn up the heat on Federicci, while he may be right about why they could not find anything when all along Adreanna has been right under their noses, he IMO had everything to do with this.

Thanks cammy-g, for your dedication to this case. I have been just sick over this case. It seems like it never received the attention it deserved. I too feel ill over the condition in which she was found. Like I have said before, she deserved a much better life.

Rest in peace, sweet girl :(

Did you also know he was accused of abusing that poor angel a few years back? It is my understanding it had went to court. It was out when the case first came out.

KING 5 NEWS "Lakewood Police Face Heat In Adre-Anna Jackson Investigation":
LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Police Department was in the hot seat at a community meeting Thursday night. Neighbors want to know how officers could have missed Adre’Anna Jackson’s body, recently discovered just two miles from her home.

Police have the remains of the 10-year-old girl who disappeared last December, but they are no closer to finding out who killed her.

Lakewood Police Chief Larry Saunders faced pointed questions from a shaken community. Most of the neighbors helped search for Adre’Anna. On Tuesday, two young boys found her bones in a blackberry patch that had just been cleared by the landowner, just two miles from her home.

"We did not do a complete search of Woodbrook,” said Saunders. “In hindsight, we should've. At the point and time we didn't have any indication that something happened there."

Police said the dogs never picked up a scent in that area back in December. But many in the community, including Adre’Anna’s father, believe officers simply missed her body.

I would like to add my thanks to cammy-g for hosting a final farewell site in honor of Adre-Anna.

Thank you Mizstery, but I do not deserve the credit for the Final Farewell, that is from the NVFC blog, I did start a Friends of Adreanna blog last night, I got the idea from the Friends of Imette web site.

I am glad you posted that about the town meeting, I wish so much I was there so I could march in there and say something myself, I really have a hard time with Adreanna, I am in tears right now as I type this.

I have to work this afternoon but I will be writing more on Adre'anna this evening, last night it took me three hours to figure out the blog, this stuff is confusing!!

I'd like to know if Federici was home all day on the day Adreanna went missing. Reason I'm wondering is surely he or Adreanna's mom had to notice the other kids who weren't in school that day. Maybe he drove around looking for her, found her and killed her because she hadn't come home?

There were a bunch of workers in the field cleaning it up over the past few weeks. They may have come across the clothing and simply trashed it.

There was a bulldozer that went over the ground - that's where they are getting the idea the remains *may* have been buried - but there is no proof this happened. At this time all is theory/conjecture

Let me give you an example/scenerio:

It had snowed heavily on the day Adreanna vanished. Lets say she did wander over to that area and found a snow fort that some of the kids had made earlier in the day. She climbs in and the ceiling collapses suffocating her.

As the snow melts and uncovers the remains animals feed on the exposed remains and do indeed take them to the shrubs (skull and spine). Months go by and the workers are called in. Someone sees a jumble of childrens clothing - mouldy and very dirty, along with other trash. Takes their shovel and scoops it, in a clump, into a wheelbarrow. Since the skull isn't there the other bones may have been inside the clothing, and the worker didn't see/notice them.

...only problem is the police force are investigating the discovery as a homicide.
There is not enough snow in that area to build snow forts. I lived in the Seattle area for 7 years; and East of the Cascades all my life. You get snow on the East side of the mountains, but it hardly snows on the West side - too much rain keeps it off and the temperatures hardly ever drop low enough for it to snow. Everytime it snows more than an inch all traffic is just about halted in the Seattle/Tacoma areas. That's why all the schools, etc. close. I went through the Tacoma area during Christmas on the way to my parents (about two weeks after she went missing). It was raining heavily, but the sun was shining - no snow. Also, in the space of half a mile we counted over 20 cars in accidents. Some minor; some not.

It never snows and sticks in the NW. She must have been overlooked. I do feel though that someone who knew her did this to her. Also most parents notice their children coming back home or other kids playing outside in any type of snow. Also, no school buses and traffic??? Why was no one walking with this child? She lived in a city. I do not even pretend to understand how you let your child to fend for themselves at that age, I woke up to make sure they had their lunches and breakfast. I also wanted to make sure I knew what they looked like when they left the house. (Not saying this mother didn't.) I just find this case bizarre.

I had it in my mind that there was so much snow there was snow banks... I think it came from a photo taken in one of the news articles. I went back to the early posts on this thread and you are absolutely correct... some snow and icy conditions! Thank you for clarifying this info for me!

I am upset hearing this sad news ...

And even more upset the reports of Adreanna being seen at the middle school were so quickly discounted. I believed LE did themselves and the community and Adreanna a huge disservice by discounting the reports as they did.

My idea here (IMO) is that some older boys or other children may have enticed Adreanna to go to the middle school yard where she was later taken to a private area and assaulted (murdered). Based on where her body was found, I just do not think the step-father is involved but perhaps older children (teens) may be involved in this awful crime. Maybe an older sibling of a classmate or an older sibling of a school playmate or an older sibling of a neighbor - an older sibling who attended (or once attended) the middle school. Just a thought.

EDITED TO ADD: One other possibility is the transient camp... which opens another world of possibilities.

My thoughts and prayers are with Adreanna... may she rest in peace.

I disagree about children being involved, children can not hold water, and if somehow older teens were involved, someone would have talked. I doubt also that a transient would be capable of covering their tracks but the Tillicum LE is starting to look like they do their recruiting from Boulder Colorado.

You are right about the fact that LE discounted the sighting way too early. No offense to Don Knotts but it looks like Barney Fife is on the job.
