Oh, good to know! I thought they would wait. Thank you!right, but they often do both. They gain immediate access by permission first, to see if there was someone in contact with her that morning. And they also wait for a warrant so that can have it in case they are going to trial.

my brother stated he did a rockery there at cd home over 10 yrs ago i saw a rockery over grown in there yard but is my brother bull!@#$ me maybe but there is a very over grown one ....my mom has walked that area for 28 yrs she walks by cd home probably 2 to 4 times a day she recognizes cd but cant say if its from walking by or like the local stores like bartells qfc rogers the childrens school yadda yadda
grandpa drives by there home 2 to 4 times a day to pickup the grandchildren for school n bring them home he doesnt recall seeing cd .....her son appears to be close to my sister age its possible she nows him n attended school with him i have not asked her seems like cd n my family been in the mlt area for many years
Maybe they can keep an eye out if any searches go on up by the house?
I thought of this, too. On Dateline (Hahaha) they usually mention sending officers in street clothes to the service.I hope the cops have the presence of mind to video tape or photograph everyone coming or going from her wake and funeral. Same applies to all the volunteer searchers before she was found.
I have an uneasy feeling that Cheryl's killer is going to show up in the footage.
Guys, I'm a little uncomfortable with this conversation about watching their house. This is a public website and it would scare the crap out of me to see strangers talking like this. I'm not trying to be rude, but it just doesn't feel right...trust me if there a search between 8 am n 7 pm we will now i can even have my brother walk to his corner of the street n he can see cd home ......if they do search or have its been during dark hours i think ......no day activity yet that we have seen other than 10 block past there home yesterday n what that was all about no idea still but it was something
If you were in a Winter Monday morning heading for work and you had found yourselves in the same situation we have been told CD had, would you be writing 'I must go back home because I forgot my badge, so you just go to work and I'll take a bus' or would you call and speak live to your carpool friend?
Someone local addressed this and said it may have been inconvenient to loop around and go back to her house depending on which way they were coming in. I think if I knew other people needed to get to work , I would tell them to go ahead without me. I probably would have called my husband and asked him to bring me the badge if he was still home or would have done without it . It is so sad to think that one small decision like that could alter lives dramatically.

I know we're all here for Cheryl, and I'm not trying to be bossy, I just felt uncomfortable.Yes....you are right...sorry.
I'm even surprised he could remember what she was wearing as she headed out to work. I'm Cheryl's age, long marriage and no disrespect to our male contributors, guys just don't tend to notice what their wives are wearing after so many years together. Especially on a work day. Unless Cheryl tended to wear the same outfit to work most days, or had a strict dress code at her office.
Agree with an earlier poster that the jacket could well have been a casual jacket and not necessarily work type clothing.
To me, wearing a jacket suggests she was either on her way out of the house or was coming back in when he last saw her. If indeed that was actually what she was wearing.
:thinking::thinking:
I'll be honest; I've been tempted to drive by the house, but I live up closer to Brier and have no real excuse and that feels kind of weird.
I would have texted. I hate phones. And I'm not the only one.
