Found Deceased WA - Cheryl DeBoer, 54, Mountlake Terrace, 8 February 2016 #2

The water is flowing into the culvert. There is a large pipe draining water into it on the left hand side. But there is no way her body came out of that pipe. Someone threw over the concrete down in that culvert or MAYBE jumped down and placed her there. There is nowhere for them to have parked except for a street maybe 60 feet away? But I have hard time believing someone carried her that far at that intersection.

I thought i saw in a news video the water was flowing east to west, like towards i5?

Looking at that photo of the culvert I'm now thinking, a car with a hatchback? You back it up to the concrete, open the back and push her out. (I hate to write this!)

She might have had broken bones ...

I have seen a pull off on the other side of the culvert, the brushy side, & overhead images showed like a car in that area

The culvert/creek looks wider than I had envisioned it. The culvert is probably much easier to access, to leave her in the more hidden part of the creek they would have had to carry her? The culvert at the road is really quick, I suppose.

If CD did drive her car to 58th and parked it and it was a random crime of opportunity as she texted (also a big possibility) I am surprised that the perp would take her in her own car to dump her then drive it back to park it. It seems the only reason a perp would park her car was there would be to make it look random and not targeted (which, ironically, is something a random perp couldn't care less about) or because they wanted to get away on public transit!

She was not in on THAT side but he other side of the culvert. The opening next to the WELCOME TO MOUNTLAKE TERRACE sign.

Flowers are on that side because police had the other taped off for a few days.

That makes WAY more sense!!!!!!!! Thank you for clarifying. It is very hidden over there and it would seem that it could take a long time to find her there. There is also a place to pull in and it would be less obvious in daylight. It is pretty deep on that side. I will edit my posts so as not to confuse anyone!!

I didn't realize that she was placed in the culvert across the street on Cedar from the flowers. So someone could have pulled off (there is a place to park off the road) gotten out of their car with her and it would have been less conspicuous. It is narrower and deeper on that side. A more reasonable hiding place that I took a pic of!!!

Okay, so the SW corner would be the second pic I took (across 244th from the flowers, NOT where the Welcome to Mountlake Terrace sign is. That sign is on the NE corner of the intersection.) The SW corner is pretty hidden and also a reasonable hiding place for a body.

No.

I was curious because water and ditches (plus other areas of water) are common places to look for people that are missing AND because this area seems close in proximity to where her car was I thought maybe it would have been an area that was already searched.

I know that area is heavily wooded so it's not likely to be able to cover the entire area. However, there were lots of volunteers and police out there with dogs. So it just seems interesting that it took as long as it did.

I don't know if the sheriff misspoke and she was really found on the NE corner where the sign is or the SW corner the second pic I took that is more hidden. (Or even the NW corner where the flowers are.) But on all three corners there is long grass that continues right into the ditch/creek. It looked like people had trampled it and cut it down on each corner, so grass might not be an effective thing to eliminate any of the three corners.

So in a way earlier post i mentioned if the water went west to east, she couldve been killed in or near the park by her house (to the west of her house)& body put in lyons creek. From there it couldve gone all the way down there, floating and being carried by the rushing water. If someone sees news video of the water, plz post it

Got it. Then I think it was just a misspeak if the sheriff said the SW corner. That location to hide a body makes a heck of lot of sense and it would not be obvious to people driving or walking. And the convenience of a parking space! Whoever put her there knows the area and chose that place specifically. I take back the haphazard dumping I mentioned when I thought it was on the flower side!

Yeah the intersection but if she was found on sw corner why wouldnt they tape off that block or area? I mean just a little bit of sw corner is taped off. Youd think if they were looking for evidence theyd tape off further south and west, too. Thats why i think her body was by sign.

It looked like the creek ran N to S along Cedar on the side of the street she was found where the sign is (not sure which direction the current runs in). It seems like a creek/ditch with a lot of grass, sticks, plant barriers and corners in it. I definitely don't get the impression that a body could have traveled any distance in it. I could be wrong but it seems impossible upon viewing.

ETA, her house is north and slightly west of of where she was found.
