The incredible irony here is that if she is fired or steps down from her position with NAACP, it will be because of the effects of her race as she has portrayed them. I can't even wrap my head around that.

I'm sure there's a discrimination lawsuit in there somewhere.

Equally incredibly, she has damaged the social activism of black women, who she champions. She has made a mockery of her career activism in imposter "blackface".

She didn't need to do any of this to be an activist for racial and social causes. But it wasn't good enough to just be who she is. The message she sent is that the only way she could be an activist is to be an imposter-- a race imposter. THAT is the message she sent to her brother and kid/s. I feel so sorry for her brother and kid/s.

Man, this woman is messed up in the head. IMO.

She'll claim that because she is a blue eyed Caucasian blond, she is discriminated against by blacks ... perhaps it will be about her deception, perhaps her racial delusions.

She needed to do what she did to get ahead faster in the Black Community, and to tap into that money.

She is an imposter - a fraud perpetrated against unstable race relations in the US.

She is an imposter when it comes to suffrage as a poverty stricken child of poverty stricken black parents, or a single mom, and perpetrating a lie about ethnic origins.

OK I have to ask, How many people do you think said, I told you she wasn't black/AA, I told you. ??? Come on

I think a lot of people said that, but clearly someone though that she was a good image for the black victim cause.

The more I think about it, the more it seems like sexual characteristics, and racial characteristics, fall into the same basket. Anthropology describes race by bone shape, just like sex is described by physical characteristics. DNA always tells the truth, but if someone with male DNA can claim to be female, then why can't someone from the Mongoloid race claim to be Negroid, especially since it's possible to alter the physical characteristics of bones with surgery?

That is, race is not a social construct. It is an anthropological classification, just like sex.

Sorry, otto, but your source is hopelessly out of date. DNA has shown our racial constructs to be anything but biologically based.

I wonder if she will claim she was doing research for a "social experiment". Of course it would not be an IRB approved one. Uuuggghhh!

I'm deeply disturbed by this whole thing. She is manufacturing lies of hate crimes, discrimination, and social injustices that don't exist. People and students listened to her and believed the image she portrayed.

If nothing else, I think people have been trying hard to eliminate racism in the community - but her deception makes people feel duped. Did we not need to be little more open, accepting, checking and double checking our own biases and use more critical thinking skills?

What message did she really give in the long run? Work consistently to make sure your unconscious "white privilege" doesn't cloud your view, remember to check yourself to make sure you wouldn't treat a minority person any differently than a Caucasian one. But she uses fairy tales, smoke and mirrors and (makeup and hair extensions), claiming her own version of "hate crimes". She asked us to think of her history of struggles in a new light.

She is an artist but I think drama and plays are more befitting her. JMHO

How can we know? But to me, even with the hair and the tan, she looked Caucasian.

I don't know. So do these half black people:

I think she is going to go for being "transracial." She thinks she is black therefore she is.

"She also tweeted a picture of herself next to a picture of Caitlyn Jenner, with the caption “who are you to decide what is right for me?”"

I guess you're right. She's going for it. It can;t have escaped her that people keep bringing this up and trying to make a comparison. RD is good at capitalizing on things.

She is very bright but IMO, very very disturbed. She's a fraud and a con and personality disordered. She wanted attention but not just as a victim, but as the biggest and toughest victim of them all.

I mean, do you know she had people marching on the streets because of the hate crimes she seems to have made up?

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane City Council will recognize the president of the NAACP for her work in the community Monday night, especially after a threatening package was sent to her almost two weeks ago.

People are planning to gather outside of City Hall for a rally that is about to start to show their support for Rachel Dolezal and the NAACP at 5:30 p.m. Monday. They want to keep the spotlight on finding out who sent a package with threatening documents to the civil rights organization.

Some of the documents found inside a package sent to the Spokane NAACP last month contained threatening photos and racist images addressed to the local chapter president.

It's sick. How do you betray a community that way? Your parents? Your own kid? That's what really makes me angry - the kid stuff.

I don't think Caitlin is going to like being dragged into this. As Bruce, she never denied being born a male, she never rebuked her parents and family, she never tried to pretend her sibling was her child, she never made up false hate crimes, etc etc.

Rachel is glomming on to the admiration and respect that the community feels for Bruce/Caitlyn, and trying to make some of it rub off on her. But it is a totally different situation altogether.

I have seen children, as young as 3 and 4, claiming they are really boys, not girls, etc. There are many examples of that biological 'mix-up.' I have never seen the same phenomenon with racial identity.

Looking at this pic of her with these people marching, they seem angry and she seems smug, idk some communities are so eager to right a wrong that critical thinking never comes into play. I can't imagine how those people feel tonight knowing they were told lies. There were all types of people in the pic that seemed to be chanting or singing. Jmo

I was just trying to catch-up on 2 recent pages on this thread when I saw this:

EXCLUSIVE: Rachel Dolezal supporting victim who accused brother of child molestation, suggests parents outed her as white in retaliation

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nat...r-accused-child-molestation-article-1.2257560

Good Grief...make it END!

(My apologies if this article had already been posted.)

If her older brother molested a minor, he should be held accountable, fully and harshly.

But that does not make her innocent of her lies and mistakes. JMO

ITA, if the allegations are true and so proven.

This story about Rachel has Duggar legs now as well...oh my.

She should have a chance to bow out and let the chips fall where they may, but a protest to humiliate her at the time that she announces her resignation/leave is a bit barbaric, eh. Sheesh. Give the woman, and the courts, a chance. If the result is clearly unfair, then by all means protest ... but what statement is behind protesting an event that hasn't yet happened?

... coercion?

Wait, what?

If you mean this, Rachel Dolezal said it, not I.

I think [my siblings and I] are fiercely loyal to each other due to the amount of trauma we have in our past and how that has forged a really deep appreciation for those people who are truly there for you. I am very open about the situations in my past because I hope that it helps people who go through trauma realize they are not alone and that their experience may be more normal than they might think. It’s been helpful to me to imagine that nothing is really the end of the world, no matter how painful and even close to death you might be … [my siblings and I] carry on with hope and create the future we want with whatever we have to work with. - See more at: http://easterneronline.com/30681/ea...al-differences/#sthash.I7EGKr0M.6lszdwHY.dpuf

You said it perfectly. I really don't care who or what color a person is, don't lie and don't try and hype me with a line of BS.

No one would care about her race if she didn't lie about it and a great many other things.

From NYDN link:
Dolezal declined to speak with The News on Saturday but previously suggested the timing of her white Montana-based parents’ media interviews about her racial identity was somehow connected to the Colorado case — and designed to damage her credibility.

I would humbly suggest that if she is a witness in a criminal case, knowing that she has a habit of making up lies is somewhat relevant.

In the end her parents did not force her to masquerade as an AA woman or tell stories about her childhood that aren't true or pretend to be a victim of non-existent hate crimes, so ultimately she damaged her credibility largely by her own efforts. It seems some people were suspicious before the parents' media interviews.
