The Cowlitz County Coroner’s office has identified the body found in the Coweeman River in late January as a missing Thurston County man. Clark Edward Calquhoun, 53, of Rainier, Wash. (southeast of Olympia) was last seen on Dec. 28 and was reported missing on Jan.6.

Calquhoun’s death is being considered a homicide, according to a press release from the coroner’s office. A Wednesday autopsy revealed he died from gunshot wounds.

Along with assistance from Cowlitz County Sheriff's officers, 20-year-old Jeremy Brian Leininger of Kelso was arrested without incident on suspicion of first-degree murder and booked in the Thurston County Jail Friday night.
