EDMONDS, WA - Human remains were discovered in Edmonds on Saturday. Two people exploring a wooded area off of Picnic Point Road near Picnic Point Elementary when they came across the remains in a stream. Police have not yet been able to identify the person who was found.

According to Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Shari Ireton, deputies were called out to the 7200 block of Picnic Point Road around 9 p.m. June 3 after two men, ages 20 and 17, who had been exploring the area found the human remains in a nearby stream. It is believed that the body had been in the area for some time, Ireton said.

Identity of the body, as well cause and manner of death, are pending from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.

Wow, wondering if this is the answer they've been looking for. Makes you wonder if he ever even left the area that night? Did he fall/hurt himself on his way to that church? But they scoured the area? Or was this later, after he came back from the ferry where he was sighted on the peninsula?

Sorry, who are you talking about? I didn't see any names mentioned in the linked stories?
