NBC saying shooter has a twitter and from that, looks like this may have been a dispute over a girl.

School shootings are not about bullying .. this myth should have died with Columbine where it was created (by media mind you looking for an angle). Let's face it, about 95% of students are subject of some form of bullying in their time at school, the other 5% used to be, but realised actively bullying those weaker than themselves was the best defence against being further taunted.

Seattle Times consistently reporting two dead, one the shooter. Press briefing 2.30, I believe.

The problem is in truth sticks and stones don't hurt as long as words said or emotional hurt.

Hearing two possible motives.

Someone made racist remark about him being Native American
This is over a girl per what the reporters are picking up on his social sites.

Either way it is a sad day for all involved.

If it was over a girl at his age that hurt would have faded and he would have found another girl.

It still is no excuse to use violence but the schools are going to have to work even harder trying to prevent things like this from happening.

The school looks large. I don't understand why they didn't have metal detectors in place.

Why no metal detectors? Did you see the campus? It is open and there is not just one or two entryways.

We actually have a friend whose 2 brothers were there and would have normally sat at that exact lunch table. (they are both out of the school and safe)

Okay, just at the end there he confirmed 2nd victim is not connected to shooting at all. A victim, but not confirmed if it is a student or teacher.
