NW News is showing the scene as the day begins. There were NINE children who lost a parent in this slaughter!

Neighbor on phone to NW News. The helicopter has been the most startling thing. It is hard to see what is going on at the house from where he is. There are a lot of cars in the area and he's not sure if they are unmarked cars or not? It is amazing as a month ago a police officer was shot about a block away. It is very surreal and disturbing for this to happen in his little neighborhood.

Well, I have to head out for a few hours. Hopefully this will be over when I return.

God Bless these officer's families, as this is going to be a very difficult day. Making funeral arrangements is one of the most difficult things to deal with, when you loose a loved one.

Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said police have searched the Seattle house and did not locate suspect Maurice Clemmons. There is a warrant out for his arrest on four murder charges.

The neighborhood Leschi neighborhood is Seattle is still locked down.

"He is on the run" said Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer. Or he could be hiding in the bushes nearby he added.

NW News just learned LE went into the home and they did NOT find the suspect. They are warning people in the neighborhood that he may be on the loose. LE says he is their only suspect and they know he was wounded via a couple of people they have detained.

I think the only reason he headed into Seattle was because he had a place to stay there, his Aunt. I hope he doesn't have many other resources out there. But he had enough resources to get out of jail on a hefty bond...

No, but this appears to have been planned out and maybe he planned out an escape route too. If he does make it to Canada which is not that far then they would have a heck of a time getting him back. They said the guy was very paranoid before all this with cameras on his house and stuff so not a real stretch for me to imagine he had researched crossing the border at some time.

Thankfully, Canada is very good about checking out people going over the border. Unfortunately, there are a million places he could cross in the woods without being detected.
