Washington state took over his parole and instead of revoking his parole and throwing him in prison they let him out on bail. Makes no sense.

When his sentence was commuted by Huckabee, he became eligible for parole.
Which he wouldn't be, if Huckabee hasn't commuted his sentence, I presume.

The deadly slaying in which Clemmons is accused appeared to have already drawn a response from the state Legislature late Monday.

The chairman of the House Public Safety Committee said he will hold a public hearing and try to find out why the suspect in the slaying of four Pierce County police officers was not in custody, despite a violent record and outstanding criminal charges.

"Considering his extraordinary history of violent criminal activity in multiple states it's difficult to conceive of how this person was even free in the first place to have an opportunity to commit a crime like this," said Rep. Christopher Hurst, D-Enumclaw, a 25-year police veteran.

"Something in the system clearly failed," Hurst added.

According to court filings related to a child rape charge currently pending against Clemmons, his family had noticed increasingly bizarre behavior from the man in days before the May 10 rape.

That night, a woman acquainted with Clemmons told police, Clemmons made his way into her 13-year-old daughter's bedroom where he had sexual contact with the girl. Throughout the assault, the woman told police, Clemmons repeatedly told the girl he was Jesus.

Huckabee was granting clemency to many. When a prosecutor wrote to him for an explanation, Huckabee supposedly "laughed out loud."

"Robert Herzfeld, then the prosecuting attorney of Saline County, wrote a letter to Governor Huckabee in January 2004, saying his policy on clemency was &#8220;fatally flawed&#8221; and suggesting that he should announce specific reasons for granting clemency. Renton, Wash. -- Police said the suspect in the Lakewood police shooting was not found inside a home where he was thought to be hiding out.

A SWAT team surrounded the home in the 13000 block of Renton Avenue South around 6 p.m. Monday, and a police source confirmed the incident is connected to the Lakewood murders.

I have to tell you what I saw on the news tonight... a lady was interviewed by a reporter, I can't remember which station, possibly KIRO, and she said that MC DATED HIS TEENAGE DAUGHTER! She made a weird statement out of the interview: "I hope they don't make this a racial thing." No, it's a cop killer thing, woman. She was shocked and upset tho, but I can't beleive she allowed this man to date HER TEENAGE DAUGHTER.
