That way, he'll have nobody left, and have to fend for himself."

Troyer also said some of those who have helped Clemmons have tried to mislead police.

Sounds like a fantastic plan to me.

Kudos to law enforcement for doing what they can to find this , despite the unbearable loss the department is dealing with. They're doing a great job.

Sorry if this has been answered....have they said if they have his immediate family in custody? His wife, the Aunt they spoke of from last night, his sister? I even hope that his child (or children, sorry not sure) are also in some sort of protective custody so he can't get ahold of them. Thanks so much!

Realistically, it's just not possible this day in age for Clemmons family not to know he's wanted and why, correct? So I have no choice but to assume his family and other associates know this and are taking the chance of putting themselves at risk of being killed and/or going to jail. With a history like what's being revealed, and the fact that the judicial system keeps turning him loose, I have to wonder if they're afraid NOT to help him?!?!?! Honestly, how far do you have to get past "Maurice you're bleeding, let's get you to a hospital, okay?"....."no".....do you have to get before you realize something is wrong and you need to get out of it?!?

It boggles the mind that this type of criminal can escape LE for this many hours. With this help of his family no less. None of them seemingly knows the difference between right and wrong.

All this c--p makes me have even more questions about our justice system.
Career criminals let off after offending and reoffending. Clenency granted to a career criminal who reoffends and is sent back to prison. I am praying round the clock for the dead officers, their families and the rest of the police dept. But, our news channels in ia are more interested in Tiger Woods car wreck than this case!!!! Our society has gone nuts. PS- go cops go!! Catchj this worthless murderer!!!! This is one case that screams for the death penalty!!!!!

I am starting to think that the death penalty is the ONLY way to keep these in jail and away from society. Now that police officers are not even safe, I hope things will start to change for the better!!

Even a small amount of blood can look like a LOT!! Have your children ever fallen down and looked as if they were covered with blood, but when you cleaned them up, it wasn't really as bas as it seemed?

It should change the plan as Jesus never harmed others, he didn't flee when the guards were closing in and he never raped a child!

I am VERY happy that LE is arresting his family, but I fear he will turn to strangers for aide and I have a feeling they will not fare well and will become additional victims. I hope this is resolved before that can happen!!

I wanted to tell you especially what's going on in WA and the anger right now... Apparently the SA wanted MC on the largest bail known. The JUDGE lowered it, and someone unknown posted the bail. The JUDGE who did it refuses to answer calls locally.

But that family member says if anything is to blame for the killings of four Washington police officers, it's Clemmon's long history in and out of prison.

"I'm thinking that right there probably pushed him over the edge," the family member said.
