I think they are basing that he may be dead because of blood and possibly a blood trail leading away from the crime scene. Until they find him or his dead body then of course they cannot confirm. IMO, they must have found a lot of blood lost. Maybe not only outside the coffee shop but maybe in the vehicle they found.

I did not see or read anything that said the police had him but I could have missed that though.

They will continue the massive hunt looking for this monster. What we want really doesn't matter. These police officers have lost 3 brothers and a sister police officer because of this . NO ONE wants him found anymore than they do and they will leave no stone unturned.

God be with all the police officers up there who are grieving and the many family members who have lost so much.

My post was probably not written in the most polite manner...too little sleep. I sympathize greatly with all of the family, friends and fellow officers in the Puget Sound region. We still have friends in the area there and my husband worked closely with the Pierce County Sheriffs Dept., so this does hit close to home.

FWIW, they have several people in custody who helped him in some way or were in contact with him after the incident. It's the friends who have told LE he's bleeding badly.

I don't think he's going to willingly give up. That's why he did this in the first place, IMHO. He was up for three strikes.

Personally, I hope he's dead...and it was a long, slow, painful death.

My heart is also with the victims families and their fellow officers.

Those that helped him get away..........should be locked away...forever.

A fire truck just got there. From the looks of this, and I'm just guessing, it appears this is the scene of where the suspect may be. They're not showing the house because of the LE activity. imho
I hope that helecopter, IF it's KING news, has permission, LOL. I see they're in a little hot water with the local LE.

I want Huckabee to admit he is human and made a terrible mistake granting this man clemency. Is that so much to ask for?
Instead he acts like a coward and blames the states of AK and WA along with the prosecutors (who by the way were adamant that Clemmons not be granted clemency) He blamed everyone possible except for himself.

I live in WA and have watched 5 officers murdered in less than a month. I am angry- I am not against pardons and clemency but I am against someone pretending their hands are clean when they are clearly not.

I"m a republican and have just sent Huckabee an email venting my outrage that he released Clemmons. Huckabee let this guy out, along with I think 11 others, and it is unexcusable. Do these idiots in "power" really think that these inmates are just people who made a little mistake? Did Huckabee ever read they psych eval on this guy? (granted i haven't read it but the psychiatrist should have been able to pick up on his violent nature). Clemmons has a LONG rap sheet and he needed to stay put in the Arkansas jail. I will campaign against Huckabee if he ever puts out a republican bid for president and told him so in my email. I haven't been this angry in a while but I'm sick and tired of judges and politicians letting out killers, rapists, etc... while our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every darn day to try and keep the rest of us safe!!!!!!!!!!!:banghead::sick::furious::furious::furious::furious::furious:

They are discussing the "police standoff", but nothing more than we know now. Talking about Huckabee giving him clemency. Reporter on the scene says neighbor says it is a little unsettling and are hoping for a non-violent conclusion.

Showing helicopter that has circled around all night. They can't see LE much in the dark, but they are all around. One resident wasn't allowed back in her home.

End of current situation per Northwest News, now they are going over what happened to the officers yesterday and the memorial that has begun at the site of the killing.

Ofc. Tim Brenton was killed while sitting in his patrol car on Halloween night. His killer has been caught.
