Oh my! IMHO There is quite a bit of strange circumstances surrounding his disappearance. Teens can some times not go to places they are supposed to. However, missing football practice is generally not a good thing. Maybe he thought he had time to go where his car was found before practice for whatever reason. Maybe he wasn't alone. Maybe he gave some one a ride. Maybe Maybe Maybe Hopefully, more details come out. Plus FBI involvement changes the scenario. I hope he is safe.

Can anyone find any information on the car? Besides it was found abandoned.

<modsnip> I want to know if the car was damaged in any way?
Also if anyone sees a new article that has the new info please post so we can discuss.

Missing practice is a big real flag. What time was the practice? He left home around 4, so if the practice wasn't until a couple of hours later I can see him going somewhere else.

Was there a confirmed siting of him or someone just called in a report of someone that looks like him?

Searching social, believe I found his FB page. Not a lot of posts, but one recent video in earlier August of Gabriel wall (rock) climbing...he note's "been pushing hard lately."

Thanks @Seattle1 and @Tracey4AU.

The article says the last sighting was due to a tip as opposed to surveillance as someone upthread inquired.

"Detectives learned about his last sighting thanks to a tip."

Strange that he would be walking without his phone....

Could this be a self-harm situation?

C'mon Gabriel, your family and team need you.

Have you got the link to his FB page?

What parameters were met that make it "suspicious"? Just wondering.

I think we can start with GD abandoning his vehicle on the roadway while also leaving his phone behind. I'm assuming there was nothing mechanical detected with the vehicle to get out and start walking. While I might forget my phone, I don't know many teens that would ever be caught without their phones. JMO

I dunno -- perhaps an argument via text/phone on his way to practice where he stopped, got out of his vehicle, and wanted to clear his head without interruption? Leaving his phone bothers me -- he could have just shut it off. MOO
