Who saw her Saturday at 4:00?
I just scanned the Probable Cause Statement again, and I see no reference to this sighting. I read through quickly though, so I may have missed it.

Respectfully, I believe we have seen at least one MSM article that indicates they did not start searching until well past any "check-in window." I have posted on such link below, but I believe I have a few others saved as well.
JMO, IMO.
Reports from neighbors put the girl’s last known appearance in the park between noon and 4 p.m. Aug. 3. She was possibly wearing jeans, a pink T-shirt and flip flops.
You could very well be right. For what it's worth, the probable cause doc does state the children were looking for her at the 830 time frame and gives all the times, I'll trust that legal doc rather than MSM and the 855. But, I have no doubt she was long dead by then anyway.
I'm not trying to defend the parents but rather keep some facts straight. If the probably cause doc states they became concerned after she missed the first check-in, that can be taken as fact. This case has enough going against the parents, GG, GG's mom, etc. without attempting to decide what they were thinking if we have LE backup.
The sighting at 4pm doesn't come from the probable cause doc but from this MSM:

My point exactly! The four o'clock sighting was mentioned in very early reports, and then pretty much disappeared, with later reports (as cited above) giving the 10 p.m. August 2nd time. The supposed 4 o'clock sighting was not included in the Probable Cause filing.

We’ve been controlled about what we can say and what we can’t say. There is still an ongoing investigation so I can’t speak about it,” said Jim Wright.
For all we know, when they got to looking and asking neighbors, someone may have said they saw her that Sunday and that satisfied them enough to think she is very near and will be right home. For all we know, that someone was GG. I have a suspicion he is the source of the 12 to 4 sighting and if he was well liked by family and said " i just saw her going over to xyz' s house a little while ago'', then that would pacify the family for a little bit longer. moooRegular poster here (and fighting with the mod side of me!): We have never seen a thing anywhere that says they didn't worry. We actually haven't seen anything that says they didn't look themselves earlier. We know they waited to call the police but what we have seen is that he didn't worry until the first check-in window passed (2-4 hours or between 9-11am).
Very interesting. I don't understand why the custody of the kids is related to the ongoing investigation though.

Ah, didn't think of that but if that is the only reason then it seems really messed up to not let the family mourn together just because a child may/may not be needed to testify at a trial that may/may not take place.

What if they are interviewing the siblings and possibly believe they were victims of GG at an earlier time?
Please no. There are enough victims in this case and more heartbreak than one lifetime can heal.

Hopefully not. But when you find out someone has done something like this, it's pretty common to go back to others he had access to and check right? It just makes me wonder if that' s why the delay in returning them PLUS the parents apparent cooperation with them not being returned yet. Speculating out loud.![]()
I found the quote I was looking for, checked about a zillion MSM articles and it was in the Probable Cause doc (page one of the thread):
"It is not unusual for JPW to play outside with friends for extended periods of time, and normally JPW checks in with familiy every 2-4 hours...James did not become concerned until JPW didn't check in with family within the usual time frame."
I haven't seen that they were looking early but it continues to bother me that people say they weren't worried all day. Now if she was seen at 4pm and we definitely have MSM and the probably cause doc stating she was being searched for at 830, that narrows it to 4.5 hours, not the original two days then well over 24 hours as we see often.
