I'm doubting she was found under/in a crawl space of her own home. Wouldn't that have been searched on day 1?

You would think so. And if anyone close to her harmed her, then they would have had plenty of time to remove her from the park before calling the police.... especially since the police weren't called till very late at night.

EAST BREMERTON — A child’s remains were found earlier today in a heavily wooded area between Highway 303 and Steele Creek Mobile Home Park, Kitsap County Sheriff’s Spokesman Deputy Scott Wilson announced at a 12:15 p.m. news conference at Crosswords Neighborhood Church in East Bremerton.
..........
The body was found by members of the search team looking for Jenise Paulette Wright, a 6-year-old girl reported missing by her parents on Aug. 3, Wilson said. Several agencies, including the FBI, are involved in the search. No arrests have been made, Wilson said.

Gosh, I hadn't even heard of this case and little Jenise, I came across this on another thread.

So very sad and sorry to hear the outcome- nothing any of us ever want. I will get up to date and read previous posts. Thank you to everyone here hoping, watching and praying for this little girl- some part of this alone brings me comfort for her.

She was loved and cared for by someone- I am certain- I hope her parents weren't involved... that is news that will set my blood boiling.

RIP Jenise- fly free little one, we will await justice here on earth for you baby girl~ Frigga

If it was someone close that she trusted and she wanders about all hours anyway, who is to say she didn't walk to that location with said person on her own two feet?

If they feel it happened in the home, there must be something obvious about the scene that is leading them back there. Not really trace evidence, as hairs and fibers would be on her anyway, being that she lived there. But maybe she was in her pajamas? Something obvious. :(

I think with Celina Cass, as soon as they found her body (wrapped in a sheet, dumped in a body of water), the first place they sent crime scene techs was her home....it was the last confirmed place she was seen alive. So I think, since home in bed at 10 p.m. Saturday night was the last confirmed place Jenise was seen alive, it would be standard procedure to treat that place as a *possible* crime scene.

Celina's case has never been solved. :(

Ok....had to go cry. I have not read all the posts but, I think they found her is the woods. But, forensics checking on side of home right now.

OK LE must think she was taken from her home then. She was found near her home in the wooded area near the road, I believe. I think someone took her out or lured her out. JMO

The body was found so close to home. I thought they searched the area? Could the body have been put there after? (Just thinking out loud)

He said the investigation has shifted from searching for the little girl to finding evidence that might help determine how she died.

Wilson said the body was found in a heavily wooded area north of the mobile home park, where the girl lived with her parents and siblings. Police have sealed off the area where the body was found.

That's why they are returning to the house---looking for trace evidence that could either include, or exclude, the family.

Fingerprints, footprints, hair fibers, cloth fibers, etc.....

Is the woods she was found in the same that locals reported homeless living?
