Not sure if this is relevant or not, I think it is.
This was not a trailer park, it is a mobile home park, there is a difference.
Trailer parks are just that, people park their trailers, mortar homes or campers in them. They can up and leave with what they are living in.
These are not trailers.

Actually that is just a matter of opinion. Around here they are trailer parks. They can look like real homes but are mobile and they are still called trailer parks. It is all the same thing to me. Some are nicer and some are not as nice but all called the same.

Because it's not a "campground", it's a permanent residence. Less turnover.

Oh, OK. I get it, if you think it could be someone who doesn't live there. I happen to think it's someone who lives there and knew her. I get the point, though.

I didn't know that they aren't so thank you, but I don't see how that is relevant to this case. What did you mean by that?

It just seemed like it was being discussed that way.
I didn't mean that it was relevant to the case.

I have a 15, 13 and 10 year old and I SEE them every night (if they are at home) before and at bedtime. I KNOW what my children, who are much older than 6- have worn to sleep the night before.

I could never imagine not knowing once I got up what my kids had for breakfast (and they can and do get it for themselves at times- I usually want to know what they had to know that it was healthy or substantial enough), and I can't even begin to imagine not seeing them or knowing where they are on a Sunday morning... especially a Sunday morning... and especially a 6 year old.

SMH at these parents. Don't even get me started on the dads charges and conviction- erm... slap on the wrist. It will always be relevant to me- even if he had nothing to do with what happened to Jenise. I will be gratefully surprised if it wasn't him. MOO

With all due respect, they probably don't care about the comfort of those of us sitting at home reading about it on the internet ;)

What about the "comfort" of her loved ones who might be watching and listening? Agree to disagree....

It makes me wonder if they already have another suspect in mind.

"That has nothing to do with this investigation right now," Kitsap County sheriff's Deputy Scott Wilson said at a news briefing Wednesday.

Of the parents, he said at the time: "I can't emphasize enough how cooperative they both have been with law enforcement authorities in the course of this investigation."

It is possible that it could be someone else, But It could also be possible that the police want them to feel comfortable too.

some where way back, was a MSM article , that had some lady talking about Jenise at church, hanging with her Dad, shy at first around the other kids, sorry I couldn't find it right off.....any one else recall it??

so did the family not GO to church Sunday morning then? Why not?Was their church attendance sporadic...or regular?

It just seems like no one cared about her. I know what my kids wear every day. However when my son went missing a few years ago, I could not in my panic remember. Now when we go out to places parks, The beach, I take pictures of them that day so I know. Scariest moments of my life.. But in this case, That father was so lackadaisical about it all. He just did not seem to care. I have never ever seen that in a missing childs parent ever. Even the ones who did it feign concern and hysteria.

I am glad that cps grabbed the other kids.

That's what I was getting at. Mobiles with stem walls are almost always "Permanently Affixed" to the property when set, for tax purposes through the county assessor, and the mortgage company that is handling the sale.
MH's have transitioned over to sheetrock, tape and texture in the last 25 years, no more "tacky" paneling, and tearing them down for transport and the transport itself can cause a lot of damage to the interior walls.
And you're right, it IS pretty expensive to move them (removal and storing of your household items, teardown, tongue/axle rental, transport, DOT permit, escort vehicles, placement permit, ad valorem tax check and transfer, leveling, marriage line attachment floor, walls and ceiling, new roof cap, utility hookups, etc....) For the cost and PITA, you might as well upgrade to a new unit and have it set in your new location.

Kind if OT, but where I live, we do not allow used ones because they get damaged and the electrical may become an issue. I believe it is State Law.

You can buy a used one. You just cannot move it and live in it.

So here's my very , very loose theory. A 14 yr old girl , who was with her 'all of saturday'' ( or was it all of saturday night? ) was babysitting her. She says when she woke up , J was gone. So , I wonder if the folks were gone out with friends , out taking care of errands, whatever , for many hours on sat and into sat evening. This may have been a regular babysitter , so they trusted her and they were used to each other. Maybe the folks are so late coming in sometimes that she just stays the night OR possibly has J stay the night at her place? Maybe she has a few friends from the neighborhood hang out while babysitting since they all know each other in this trailer court. Maybe babysitter sends all the friends home and she and J fall asleep. Maybe one of these friends sneaks back later or maybe this other friend never left and they all fell ' asleep' and this friend waited. Maybe mom and dad come in so late they don't check necessarily each bed for each kid. They see the sitter snoozing on the couch and assume that all the kid(s) in her care overnight are sleeping in their normal place. Maybe it's really late like the wee morning hours of Sunday when the folks come in. Maybe the 14 yr old babysitter wakes up , sees the folks are home , sees J is ' gone' and doesn't really think a lot of it because everything else seems ' normal'. Maybe sometimes J sneaks into her folks bed and not seeing her that morning does not raise a flag . So the folks sleep away quite a lot of the day because they were out very late and all was well when they came in.
That's my theory. Feel free to tear it apart or add to it .

ETA This is my within TOS theory :)

Are we absolutely sure that she was in bed Saturday night? Did the parents just assume this or did they physically tuck her in? Or did any siblings see her? I find it hard to believe with how many people were living under that roof that no one has a clue what she was wearing.

I really don't think she made it home Saturday night and went to sleep

If the murderer is someone not from the trailer park (is that what it is?) she would have been taken away in car, Imo and probably not found at all, or much later.

Also, I guess she was NOT under a house? So if she was just in the woods, dead, it would likely be homicide because she couldn't have become stuck on her own.

Sounds like a logical theory to me even if the parents did not go out anywhere but were partying at home. What I don't know/haven't read is where you state that she was quote she "woke up and J wasn't there." She woke up where? What did she mean by that?

I don't think anyone is sure of this at all.

;) I just meant kids & teens don't seem to be seen much outside these days unless they're sitting somewhere with their devices. Speaking of which, I had this thought before we all got the news that our official Comet of the Month of August (now and forever) Jenise was found today (pending official ID, of course):

From several sources, we've all read she hung around older kids in the park. Teens, specifically. I think we all know that teenagers today pretty much chronicle their every move via texting, snap chatting, twitter, facebook, selfies & videos. I have to wonder if LE confiscated ALL their devices to take a look for themselves. I'm a mom, and it's one of the first things that came to mind when I read in one of the MSM articles that a 14 yr old was with her all day Friday & Saturday.

I really do agree with you.. But while I was about to click on the Thanks button... I noticed I was on WS a lot... I was just kidding..:giggle:

Yes... It is refreshing to see kids (of all ages) out "playing"... When I am hiking, playing basketball, walking my pup... It seems like even when "kids"are out.. There are cell phones/etc. attached to their ears...

:seeya:

I am new to this case, are there interviews or pictures of Jenise's parents anywhere? TIA

I don't think anyone is sure of this at all.

I agree. I don't think there is any really clear cut timeline here because I don't believe these parents seemed to care if she was there or not.

Or...they are being extremely cooperative in a very revealing way, which would be very helpful to LE?
