So my round up on this presser is that the parents are still being investigated along with everyone else.
They are asking for people to remember someone with mud on SAT or SUN.

They have not cleared anyone. Not even the parents.

Could someone have gone down to the creek then taken the creek to access the area where she was found?
They are stating mud, not scratches, so clearly they didn't go through the brairs and thorns.
It makes me sad thinking the dogs have barbs all over them from having to go that deep to find her. They probably don't, I just have an awful picture in my mind.
Is this creek, stream whatever a place the kids would go? I was thinking maybe she drowned???

All posts are MOO

They are looking at the SATURDAY and SUNDAY for her disappearance.
that was answered when the reporter asked when the "person" would have mud on them. He also said until the autopsy is done he won't have a time frame.

If the brush is so heavy and ground so muddy, it seems likely they could analyze foot track and broken brush type evidence to determine the path traveled and/or the spot at which the wooded area was entered/exited.

You would think so, but he wouldn't comment on it. Said it's part of the investigation when one of the reporters asked about footprints.

we are continuung to recanvas the neighbourhood around the home
re interview people, that is how they discovered the body
they are gonna do dna request
asking for help for people in the park, if they saw something, someone out of place
the preson who may be resposible would havemud on them. significant amount, muddy pants, shirt, shoes, boots
if you know of someone who has thrown away muddy clothes/footware, let LE know
next briefing at 4:30
will hopefully have positive id on the body, they believe it is Jenise
forested, heavyly covered in mush, not easy to get there.

That really jumped out at me. When asked for a specific time frame, he said Saturday/Sunday, weekend...not Sunday morning/afternoon...

Me too. What I get is that they have some ideas and are looking for more witnesses.

LE says it would be not easy to get to the location where she was found. Interesting. (to me, anyway)

Yes....either strong teen or adult. Not accident. And will not say on what side of creek.

Paraphrase of points I caught:

Police asking for public to call in tips ton1-800-CALL-FBI or local 911
Whomever perpetrated this crime will have had "lots of mud on them" (paraphrase from news reporter) and also asking for people to report anything out of the ordinary from the weekend Jenise went missing.
The sighting t the Burger King is still "uncorroborated."

I am guessing they did not find any muddy clothing in the house, otherwise they would not be asking people to jog their memories about seeing people around with muddy clothes..

They did state there are still uncorroborated witness sightings from Sunday; but they can't be confirmed.

Why isn't the dang mail delivered on the weekend? Mail carriers are often great witnesses, as they are walking around the homes every day and often notice something that is out of place.

Oh Jayzus. This means they consider the father's report of 'safe in bed' to be unconfirmed.

So when was the last confirmed sighting on Saturday?

I'm gonna go off and do some primal scream therapy. :pullhair: BRB.

Wonder if there's any tire tracks, evidence of a car or truck being there? Chk the under carriage...imo

I bet the mud comment will peak someone's interest/jog their memory.

The ME said the Autopsy is done. I assume that they have not completed the report yet.
To me it looks like they have ideas and are trying to put it all together.

I hope they figure this one out fast. I want her killer found and prosecuted.

I heard that also - but what I heard was that the parents are being cooperative and that they can not clear anyone yet, because they don't have details such as COD, TOD, or MOD. The way the gentleman worded his statements, it leads me to believe they are leaning far away from the parents.

And regardless, Bessie posted a warning above that the parents are not to be discussed as poi/suspects at this point in time. If that changes, she will let us know.

Yes, also snagged hair strands. Foot or shoe prints for sure!

All the talk about DNA samples being an elimination process makes me think they have DNA from the crime scene.
