I am SOOOOOOO impressed with LE in this case. The release of information in these pressors is the best I have ever seen.

One of the reporters needs to ask if anyone has been cleared! I want to see his reaction!

KOMO reporter talks over and then ends coverage of news conference..........

  • #27
He won't answer if the body was concealed or not.

thick thick brush
location where she was found: in wet mud

  • #29
Why are you placing emphasis on (unintelligible) on mud? Was she found in mud?

Yes, the place where she was found was muddy.

Was there an attempt to conceal the body?

Can't go there, still part of the investigation.

They asked at the earlier PC today and they said no one has been cleared.

DNA Testing: if someone refuses, we have legal recourse to push thru

I was thinking the same thing!

Not very many questions answered imo. Confirmed the manner of death is homicide. Cause of death, location, whether or not the body was covered in any way was not released. Other questions were "chaired" and may be answered later.

Family is requesting privacy and will not be speaking to the public in the near future; possibly in writing later on.

Yea ! Crime lab will be running 24/ 7 to process their DNA samples ! Thank you WA state !
I got chills when he said that. I'm not religious, but God bless the state patrol for stepping up for Jenise. [emoji26]

Tips on muddy clothes coming in....makes me wonder if several people might have had muddy clothes? Maybe a ' party' out in the woods that she was hanging around ? Maybe she'd done many times in the past and no problem? ** speculative**

  • #38
How common is it to not release COD in a homicide case?

  • #39
Positive ID. Homicide

DNA processing will take about 24 hours.

Persons with muddy clothes mentioned again – Saturday through Monday.
Getting muddy clothes tips.

Playground is in center of MHP not near body.

100 feet from rear row of houses – on the outside ring, down slope in heavily wooded, dry and wet mud area.

Noon and 2 pm tomorrow next presser.

May allow limited press, photographer to visit scene tomorrow.

Several paths crisscross used by kids to get to hwy. Doesn't know if near Jenise's body locale.
