3 vehicles were just towed from Jenise Wright mobile home park. Kitsap Sheriff: suspect had access to all 3. Large white van and 2 SUVs.

The mention of a van scares me. Not sure why, but it's giving me the creeps.

As a parent we should teach girls to have more respect for themselves and learn to not get themselves in situation that could possibly cause harm.

As a mother of 24 year old daughter and a 13 year old son, that is what I have always taught them BOTH! If you feel uneasy get away from the situation.

Something else I taught them both....If someone asks you to do something, ask yourself, can I tell Mom about this? If you can't come home and tell me, then you probably shouldn't be doing it. CALL ME or Dad, we will come get you.

It's not a matter of making girls respect themselves as it making children understand that actions cause consequences.

J should have had consequences for leaving without her parents knowledge. She didn't. That still don't make her parent's responsible for the actions of the 17 year old boy who killed her. His parents should have taught him the same action/consequence scenario.

We know zero about his home life. All we know as of now is, he killed a little girl.

I'm just asking for opinions here, but in the case of several children (over 3) that are spaced out over decades, is it normal for parents to be less strict with the younger ones?

No not necessarily,,,I'm from a family of 10 I'm number7 ...they where stricter on the younger ones,I got told no alot more.Parents learn from mistakes of older ones didn't keep letting us "younger ones" make the same mistakes..

OFF TOPIC. my parents taught me the exact same thing. apparently once when i didnt want to be carried around a store i started yelling "this is not my mommy, this is not my mommy!". to this day it's one of my moms favorite stories to tell lol

I will always be enraged by child neglect, whether the child is neglected and alive, or neglected and dead.

I have extreme difficulty on cases where the child was made vulnerable to their murderer because of parental negligence. I hold the rapist and murderer accountable for his/her acts, the negligent parent(s) accountable for his/hers/theirs.

In these cases, I focus my sorrow, my sympathy, my heart...to the child victim. It's the best I can do.

Your post made me LOL, literally. I have the same smart aleck son now. He has some personal safety classes under his belt, but still, when asked, he will tell you, my mom taught me to punch anyone in the balls and yell, "YOU AREN'T MY PARENT!" and run FAST.

If the perp lives right there, why would he place.a body so close to home?
LE crawling all over the area and couldn't do anything else?

This 17 year old was apparently family's friend. So it wouldn't work in this particular situation.
