So there are two pairs of bloody underwear? One found in the bog and one found in GG's bedroom? Also, logistically speaking since he raped her didn't he take her underwear off? Did he beat her badly then take her underwear off and rape her?

This case is so so so horrendous. Poor sweet girl. So much love and happiness in her eyes.

Yes there were 2 pairs. Jenise's in the woods and the perps in his room.

I'm confused I thought smoking cigs/joints dipped in formaldehyde created a compound similar to the molecular structure of PCP and produced the same affects
There is a fair amount of confusion about this. It seems to have begun in the 70s, when phencyclidine gained the nickname "embalming fluid", probably because of the numbing effect it had on users. But by the 1980s this misconception about embalming fluid began to spread, leading to prospective users stealing embalming fluid (which does not contain 100% formaldehyde but rather a lower percentage, under <30%) from funeral homes and then dipping cigarettes or joints into it. Formaldehyde is highly toxic although it can cause some intoxication, especially with heavy usage, but the effects are not the same as PCP and are generally regarded as unpleasant or even dangerous (tonic-clonic seizures). However, there do seem to be some cases (particularly in the south of the U.S.) where a mixture of formaldehyde and PCP have been applied to smoked material - later verified by testing for PCP metabolites at hospital when users are brought in suffering adverse affects.

There is also the complication that while pure phencyclidine is basically a white powder, much of the illicit PCP on the market contains various impurities due to improper chemical synthesis. Street PCP can be so impure that the product looks like a brownish tar.

When someone gets meds for depression, who prescribes them? A GP or do you have to go to a psychiatrist?

Would he have just been given meds or would he have to see a therapist as well?

Well most GP will prescribe them, which I totally disagree with. Everyone should be seeing a psychiatrist or an nurse practitioner at a psych practice if they need meds. They are specialized and know best.

Yet there is still a stigma attached to that... Which probably prevents people from getting effective treatment. GP should NOT be giving out rxn for psych meds.

I can only speak to the folks I provide Services to. Often a GP will prescribe. Depends on the severity of symptoms presenting. Some are under Psychiatric care. Some of my Clients have such a mix of issues. For lack of better words. Those that are prone to violence we bypass the GP and work directly with one Psychiatrist. And several other Intervention Teams.

See, I think the severity thing is yet another stigma.

I have generalized anxiety disorder and take lexapro. I see a psychiatrist to manage meds and bc she can do therapy also.

She is specialized. On a scale of 1-10 severity- I'm prob at a 1.5?

Channel 5 just interviewed high school kids that knew Gabe's family and had nothing but good things to say about family and older brother.

People I have spoken with said Gabe was nice, hard to believe it was him. And speaking of drugs, one person said it had to be some kind of drug he took. I really hope he talks.

If plea deal we find out nothing, right?

Actually I would think with a plea deal is the best chance to hear in his own words what happened. Often in a plea , they have to admit to what they did and tell the truth and throw themselves to the court's mercy. If he goes to trial and tries to plead insanity or drug induced or any thing like that, they may say ' he does not remember a thing' and that's the end of it.

I have GAD as well. Thanks for outing yourself. It's so much better than pretending :)

that's what I was kind of wondering too and I believe there's another violence inducing one too called "spice" don't know if it same thing or not but I do know that it causes very violent and irritable behavior

Valid point for sure. I do think had it been something like salts etc. this crime would have been much more heinous. Not that what was done wasn't. Usually you see some really sickening and bizarre injuries inflicted. From what I have read anyway.

Meh, spice is just super strong pot. It can induce violence prob in unstable people. I know someone who has tried it and said it was just really strong and made him sleep. Bath salts is like meth pretty much.

Since he was taking meds for depression, I wonder what led to that?

I wonder if he was seeing a therapist?

If a teen is prescribed meds, do they simply get meds with no intervention?

Picture of gg driving, his mom's being interviewed.

Look at that. That's the face of evil. That's the face of a "kid" who just brutally raped and destroyed a six year old baby, and is now driving around with his horrified mother. That's the face...nothing. No emotion.

Would this be consistent with BPD like Arias? Borderline is just one personality disorder but it seems similar to Arias' behavior during questioning. TIA

I'm not a psychologist but, maybe. However I do, unfortunately, have a lot of experience with borderlines (my mother in law, an aunt by marriage and a few opposing parties in my cases), and it doesn't smell like it to me. In my experience, borderlines like to talk, generally. A lot. They think they can explain away anything. They feel they can b.s. you or force you to accept their viewpoint, or show you that their behavior was compelled or excusable.

They tend to be over the top and have quick bursts of anger reactions. Very dramatic. Always having a major issue or problem. This kid was known to be pretty shy and we've heard nothing about any serious, on-going behavioral issues.

Not being an expert in psych issues, I think the intense violence and horror of the crime coupled with his attempts to manipulate, fear only shown for himself (stomach heaving the car), impassioned face at the vigil and in the car (I would expect a borderline to have public displays of emotion and to make it about them - hero or devastated insider), and his ability to turn off his emotions at the police interview and yawn and stretch when they weren't in the room, as a direct and very opposite exhibition of emotion from his earlier, apparent grief or horror stricken catatonia, we are dealing with someone much more sophisticated and scary than a borderline.

But that's my guess.

Has anyone considered he is a sociopath and that is why he did this? In my experience, sociopaths work very hard to appear on the outside they are like everyone else. But if one looks closely and watches for red flags or patterns it becomes evident the person is "off". For example, sociopaths will imitate emotions of others in order to fit in. It doesn't mean the sociopath actually feels that that way. He also had a very inflated ego of himself which makes me feel he was narcissistic rather than depressed. Just MOO.

Yes.

Yes Yes and Yes. Ever since I read about the questioning with LE and a few minor items as well.

I am not sticking up for Gabe. And, I admire the quick actions of LE in this case. However, I hope they have the changes in behaviour, when LE wasn't around, on cam. And, have a behav. specialist and psychiatrist analyze the behaviour. Defence can have a field day with these speculations. Because (I know this personally) when LE wants to get their man, they can exaggerate. Also, by all counts GG is shy and quiet. It makes sense he would feel somewhat of a relief etc when LE wasn't around regardless of whether he has mental health issues or not That was totally LE's interpretation and subjective. Thoughts?

Just throwing this out there. "If" he was under the influence when the crime was committed why would he present as he did during questioning? Speaking to when LE spoke with him and left the room. That was well after the crime.

I took that into consideration but his brother is 2-3 years older. Unless his brother wears the same clothes as GG and hangs out with kids that would be younger than even GG is, then it can't be him. After I cleaned up the video as much as I could, the kid bopping his head off the bag is likely no more than 15 and the kid who walks in the room is no more than 12.

I love the new avitar OM!

Crazy like a fox

Lol I am not ashamed! And if it helps other people feel less "weird" about getting help (even though they shouldn't feel weird at all, they should feel smart and awesome for wanting to be their happiest and best self) then I will blab about it all day long :)

even for those who may be on other medications or have a history of mental illness? ((I don't know))

Boogers hanging down to his shirt and no tissue wanted?

I imagine it is on video.

I was excited when I heard he confessed.

He did confess by nodding that he was the only one.

But he was not spilling his guts out of remorse, like I envisioned.

I don't think he is going to say a thing

Similar shoes...

All posts are MOO

Those are wrestling shoes. They are suppose to only be worn on the mats and in the gym. My boys coaches don't allow wrestling shoes on the street or street shoes on the mat, for hygienic reasons.

This is why our gym bag smells so awful :shame:
