Only slightly O/T but I just feel like I need to say this:

I've been reading the discussions here since Tori Stafford went missing, although I've never really participated at the level I have lately, because when Jenise went missing it was TOO personal for me, being from Bremerton and knowing the park the way I did (at the time I live there in town). I told my hubby tonight, if I *ever* go missing, for him to get his butt to this site and type in my name in the search bar. As another member told me yesterday (which made me lol for real) by the end of the day all y'all will know what I ate for breakfast that day and who took me to the prom. (for the record it was left-over baked beans around 1pm and I didn't go to the prom, my BF dumped me and took my ex-best friend, the jerk, and the jerk, lol).

I very much appreciate all the effort you all go to, the dedication, the heart, the relentless attitude to uncover the truth. I also really appreciate that this is a victim *friendly* forum, that is well moderated and goes the extra mile to protect minors, family members, etc. I blogged about this case the other night because I had way too much to say for a post here, but suffice it to say, THANK YOU for what you do. All of you. I feel honored to be among you.

I'm still having a problem with the timeline. Once a clear and precise one is displayed then all the puzzle pieces wil come together. I'm still convinced that J was at Burger King with other ppl. I'm also convinced some ppl that are part of this story are not being honest with certain times

Yeh, I guess so. I didn't think this whole thing all the way through when I posted. I was just remembering how my son acted when his best friend was shot in the back of the head, execution style when he was 19 years old.

I am so sorry, Seajay; hugs to you and your son.

The Night Stalker. Omg, I was in LA during that time. Truly terrifying.

Talk about someone who looooooooked like a serial killer!

His eyes freaked me out so much. I would have passed out if he got near me.

That's intense! Did you all know it was the murderer?

I wasn't on the thread but those that were totally did!!

Yes! Thank you. I have been so so sick of all the grusome speculation. GG is a child himself. Monster maybe, or a kid that made one mistake after another. Or he knew what he was doing. Thinking in a childs head, he would never get caught. So for me I want to wait and see what LE sheds light on. Sad a darling little girl was hurt and removed forever from this earth. Sad that it had to happen. Two young souls were set up to fail. I have to say the continued anatomy of the physical parts of this crime have reminded me of those that think CSI is reality.

I get what you're saying but one thing: IMO, this did not "have to happen". Someone caused it to happen and that person had a choice, IMO.

The Night Stalker. Omg, I was in LA during that time. Truly terrifying.

Talk about someone who looooooooked like a serial killer!

Me too. I was a teenager abd scared to death. He broke into a house in Mission Viejo, raped and beat the wife and murdered the husband. I babysat a kid in an eerie, huge house in the North Tustin/Santa Ana hills a day or so later and the mom was terrified that the Night Stalker would break in and get me and her kids while she was gone, thereby terrifying the carp out of me before she left!

I remember having to sleep with all our windows closed that summer with no air conditioning. I was a teen and scared!

This picture warms and breaks my heart. Thank you for posting it. It's good to be reminded of who Jenise was aside from talking about the details of her murder.

Just a sweet, little girl like any other.

That's exactly why it stood out to me and why I said I found it striking. Any *other* teen would want to be around mutual friends that knew her. Talking, crying, etc.

Oh, ok! I get ya'. I misunderstood.

To Catfancier, I read your post about your boys and it made me think. It's hard for me not to feel intense hatred for Gaeta. It's hard for me not to dismiss mental health issues and go straight to simply...evil. But your post is food for thought.

What it's like to love and try to protect mentally ill sons, I can't imagine the intensity of that. But I can see you are able to imagine what the parents of some of these killers go through. And I think your perspective helps us imagine it as well, a little bit, and have compassion. I'm starting to understand that apparently one can do everything possible, raise their kids with love and 24/7 sacrifice and still not be able to prevent their kid from doing something like this.

But I also wanted to say this, which I found (and have learned along the way):
Violent behavior: One of the consequences of failing to treat individuals with severe mental illness

SUMMARY
1. Most individuals with serious mental illnesses are not dangerous.
2. Most acts of violence are committed by individuals who are not mentally ill.
3. Being a young male or being a substance abuser (alcohol or drugs) is a greater risk factor for violent behavior than being mentally ill.
4. Individuals with serious mental illness are victimized by violent acts more often than they commit violent acts (see Backgrounder: “Victimization: One of the consequences of failing to treat individuals with serious mental illnesses”).
5. If people with serious mental illnesses are being appropriately treated, there is no evidence that they are any more dangerous than individuals in the general population.
6. All of the above statements are true, but it is also true that a small number of individuals with serious mental illnesses commit acts of violence, including 5 to 10 percent of all homicides. Almost all these acts of violence are committed by individuals who are not being treated, and many such individuals are also abusing alcohol or drugs. http://www.treatmentadvocacycenter.org/resources/consequences-of-lack-of-treatment/violence/1381

You know, still way behind, but just wanted to say I suddenly got a creepy feeling---maybe nothing is as it appears....maybe everything is too obvious here?

Sorry, maybe I'm just over thinking things...(or maybe this is just same type of fear I had before, wondering what if ARS escapes, etc...all part of the process...somehow Jenise's case is making me work through some things.)

(someone call the doctor, lol)

As we ponder what could make a "seemingly" typical teen male do something so horrendous, we obviously wonder if he was hiding rage, hiding drug use or hiding a secret of having been harmed himself. You can believe if it is number 3, he is going to siiiiing like a canary!!! That abuser will be thrown into a pit of snakes he or she would have never imagined! **IF** (not saying it is, just processing possibilities) this is the case (there was abuse to him), I hope it makes abusers all over the world think twice about what they can be pulled into and exposed for. Abusers need to be exposed in order for there to even being a chance of stopping!

I'm not sure that he will, especially if he has been repressing it and feels ashamed or is the prideful type. The defense might convince him to though, if they can use it as part of their strategy. MOO, just guesses.

Anyone interested in helping me get through the timeline of events? Seriously, it does not add up to me.

It really depends on the family dynamic & the friends of the kids. Our family members have twitter, FB, instagram, etc. Some of the kids' friends add us (me and their dad) on FB but none of them have ever added us on other places. I think it happens more often with parents who are trying harder to be "friends" with their kids, than with parents who are just old and grouchy and choose to be parents, lol. Some of our kids' friends like that about us, so they add us and we add them back.

I must be the old and grouchy type ;) but really, my content is directed at adults (my peer group) and I don't think it would be appropriate for all age groups, so I am very careful about who I connect with. Not to say that only adult topics are referenced on there, but I don't censor what my friends write and there can be cursing and the discussion of topics that might need an adult mind to comprehend and digest them properly. I can see how not everyone would be this way though, and could even have a second account just to "spy" or keep tabs on the friends of one's children.

I think a lot of us are having a hard time with the timeline.

Main problem for me is that I can't see him taking her out in that field in daylight. So it had to be either Saturday night/Sunday morn OR Sunday Night?Monday Morn.

But Sunday night is cutting it pretty close. And where could he have hidden her all day Sunday without being seen/noticed and how would he explain his ALL DAY absence on Sunday?

So I keep circling back to late Saturday night. :waitasec:

maybe we knew each other

sorry for the o/t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was in LA then too. We lived in Venice beach. I remember hearing on KABC talk radio that people had surrounded the night stalker in a parking lot and holding him until the cops came TO SAVE HIM. Lucky for him LE arrived quickly.

Well I think the one piece that is making it difficult to figure out right now is that we don't know the day, or time of day, that the crime took place. Nor the location. If we knew those things then I think the timeline would make some sense.

Thinking about the search that occurred at GG's residence--- can you imagine his poor mother? The invasiveness of it all? All these strange men suddenly coming in your home and searching through everything, removing things...I really really feel for her.

Sunday, August 3, (21:53 hours) - 911 call came in - LE arrived at residence 22:34
Jenise's father, JW, told LE that he last saw Jenise in bed at 22:00 hours on August 2.
According to JW, on August 3 at 07:00 hours, Jenise was not at home.
Even though unusual for her to go out so early in the morning, JW figured she left the house to play.
At 20:30 hours (8:30 p.m.), J's siblings began looking around the neighborhood and knocking on doors to find Jenise.
After another hour and twenty-three minutes had passed, someone dialed 911 to report Jenise missing.

Monday, August 4 - LE went to GG's residence and found him at home with his mother and stepfather.
They explained that GG was too upset at the moment to really speak to LE or to give a DNA sample.
Mother asked LE to come back later.
GG's stepfather told LE that GG was home all weekend.

The search and rescue team found a pair of little girl's underwear (size 5) while searching the southeast perimeter of the Steele Creek mobile home park along with a pair of young girl's shorts.
Both had red stains on them. A quick test confirmed the stains were blood.

Wednesday, August 6 - The crime lab confirmed the blood was Jenise's and collected semen from the underwear as well.

Thursday, August 7 - At 11:00 hours, a body of a deceased child was discovered 15 to 20 feet away from where Jenise's shorts were found.
The body was almost entirely submerged in mud bog adjacent to the trailer park.
The mud was three to four feet deep.
There was a small pallet on top of the mud and a strap* was discovered there too
(*belonging to some kind of nylon bag, duffle, suitcase or laptop bag).

Friday, August 8 - The body was identified and confirmed to be Jenise.
She suffered blunt force trauma causing multiple skull fractures, vaginal tearing and genital trauma, signs of strangulation by ligature.
Lividity on the abdominal area and back indicate her body was moved 1/2 to 3 hours after death.

LE returned to GG's residence and collected his DNA sample.
GG was emotionally upset and could hardly get out of bed.
GG leaned up against a wall while LE was there.
GG's mother mentioned to LE that GG displayed similar behavior when her sister, GG's aunt, died.
LE noted the residence is two mobile homes west of the wooded trail access to where Jenise's body had been found.

Saturday, August 9 - Washington State Patrol Crime Lab made a DNA match to a male profile from the stain found on the front of the underwear.

The same day, blood stained underwear, blood and mud stained shirt and blood stained shorts and bloody towel were all found in GG's bedroom.

GG was arrested and brought to the jail at 14:50 on Saturday.

Sunday, August 10 - GG was jailed at 12:30 a.m.
Charged with two counts of murder in the first degree and one count of rape of a child in the first degree*

Probable Cause Statement*

Thanks again Woe! :)

What about the baby rabbits and birds?

Yes, that was my concern too. Not so much the rabbits, because they breed like, well, rabbits (I have a backyard full of them at the moment, and the local garden center had to put things way up off of the ground at night this year, for the first time ever). I'm still rather fond of the bunnies though.

The birds, however, are a different matter. The songbird population in the US has really declined, and much of the decline, according to recent studies, is due to free-roaming domesticated cats. I have one living next door to me who leaves a bird on my doorstep at least once a week. :-(

JMO, IMO.

I keep thinking that Jenise was in bed that night, and would have been too tired to been woken up. So I tend to think early Sunday morning, or mid morning, as in maybe his parents left the house to go shopping or something.
