LE stated last night that they would be doing a forensic search of the house today, so the bunny suits make sense. It sounds like they intend to be very careful and do a thorough search. I wonder if they will use luminal as well.

So the house that LE are searching is owned by the ex-boyfriend (per all MSM reporting on it) and MOO his girlfriend lives with him.

Curious about:

1. Whether the cell phone was thrown into the lake?

2. Whether LE has checked KC's texts or been able to access cell phone data not related to GPS?

3. Whether KC knew the ex-boyfriend from work? How long they had known each other? Why LE is focusing on his house and saying the house belongs to the ex-boyfriend but refusing to name him outright (which is really odd to me, I don't think I see this in any current cases so I'm very curious about the strategy here and would love to know more from those with knowledge about investigations and LE...)

4. MOO and speculation. If there is something significant about the ex-boyfriend's name? Is his dad a senator? Does he have access to some kind of power or resource that keeps LE from naming him even as his house is being searched and he knows he is being watched by LE?

This case is absolutely heartbreaking and a reminder of the threat pregnant women face in the US. I remember being a single pregnant mom in DC just after Monica Lewinsky disappeared and I wasn't worried about anything going wrong with pregnancy or delivery--my only fear was being murdered.

Thank you! Two facts here: ex-boyfriend and FBI. The FBI being involved says volumes.

ETA - I see others picked up on FBI too. @allyoucantleavebehind Not sure why not WBI, maybe the FBI has more advanced electronic/computer resources or forensic resources. My guess is WBI/local LE called the FBI in - can't see obvious interstate connection or child abduction - so those local/state agencies must have know something(s) concerning.

ETA again - Still processing FBI involvement - always happy when local LE calls in other agencies early for expertise. While the evidence is "fresh" though it usually means the outcome is worse :(

I was looking for the home being searched based on the address given in media and I found this interesting listing of the home. Note the orange door (which is left open in so many videos right now). Also note that the house was listed for $400 k which is not tiny money.

The Mother-In-Law Suite means others could live there and it might be rented out to them?

Hey - I think you mean Chandra Levy disappeared, not Monica Lewinsky

I don’t think the price is much to note, that’s pretty average for homes in the area that have more than one bedroom and aren’t either a condo or a shack.

Yes. :( My worries and thoughts match yours. This is heartbreaking--and it is happening so fast. I can't get KC's mom out of my mind.

Thanks for telling me that. Homes are a lot cheaper in Alabama. I can't imagine 400k for a home that size. Maybe they were renting out the Mother-In-Law suite? I can't see that part well in the pictures...

If the ex did, I hope he confesses and they are able to find her quickly. I hate these cases. Purely selfish motives.

Search site residents.

Well, that was enlightening. Leads to answers to a least a few questions we've had.

Of note, I'm not sure the title 'ex-boyfriend' is necessarily accurate. It might be what LE is calling him, but I didn't get the idea from any interviews with KC's mom that there was a "boyfriend" - just a father of the child she is carrying,

Also, to get a sense of what this sort of home looks like and the interior layout? Noted: "Extra space in the basement w/ a 1 car garage!"

Welcome to Seattle, lol. We have some of the most expensive housing in the US.

I felt the same thing because it seemed like the mom was wary of this "friend" in her descriptions.

Then I discovered there is a long history there that the mom shared in a FB discussion group but I can't post that here.

The search warrant likely approved by a judge, FBI involved, ....what is that black truck?
Ugh...not looking good.
And yes, the person was described as a "friend", who the mom did not like...why?

Desperate search for pregnant woman, 33, who vanished a week ago | Daily Mail Online

"Her mother said Cantrell would not have just taken off without telling anyone, especially without her two beloved chihuahuas.

'What I hope, worst-case scenario, is that maybe she was carjacked and she’s just hurt somewhere.' Smith said.

But the mother expressed concern that the father of her daughter's unborn baby might be involved.

'I wouldn’t have suspected him if he wasn’t the father,' said Smith. 'But he has a girlfriend so I don’t know what that might, you know, what that might have triggered.'"
