Sheriff said they are working the case as a homicide investigation if only for the fact that Kassandra is missing. Pregnancy not confirmed but assumed. They had reason to enter the house with a swat type team. The residents were allowed to leave and are staying elsewhere. The male's truck is being towed away for processing. Kassandra's family is being cooperative.

Very sad for her parents.

I believe it is the father of the unborn baby who IS who they consider the POI (unnamed still)
This is unraveling very quickly and with the FBI there I’m hoping we see an arrest very soon..

so they found something that leads them to believe she is deceased? wonder if there is blood in her vehicle?

You don't arrive with a SWAT Team and a warrant to search on a hunch that's for sure.

My spidey sense is telling me they are on this and it won't be long before an arrest.

Very interesting this case is being handled by FBI and Pierce County Sheriff Office instead of the City of Tacoma Police Department, in which the house resides, unless Pierce County Sheriff has the lead due to Kassanndra being missing from the county. Parkland is unincorporated Pierce County.

Sadly They probably didnt have enough to hold him, especially without knowing what , if any evidence the warrant would produce

Investigators suspect foul play in search for missing Parkland woman

"We are treating this as a homicide investigation until something tells us differently," Pierce County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Ed Troyer said. "She is still missing under highly suspicious circumstances."

He said other searches were also being carried out in other parts of the county but he declined to identify where those searches were occurring. Troyer said the person of interest is someone "that they want to eliminate and clear or name him as a suspect" but he did not elaborate on that information.


Search warrant served in case of missing pregnant woman from Pierce County; FBI assisting

Cantrell, 33, drove away from her family's home in Parkland Tuesday morning. She was driving a white 2014 Mazda 3 sedan with the license plate AXV1638. Her car was found abandoned on East 25th Street in Tacoma - near the Tacoma Dome - a few days later.

Pierce County Sheriff's Office Detective Ed Troyer said investigators are treating her disappearance as a homicide unless they uncover evidence that proves otherwise. He said they're also working to confirm that Cantrell is pregnant. Troyer said Cantrell told her family she was pregnant but they're looking for documentation from a doctor.
