Would her phone pinging there plus the relative closeness of her car to the residence be enough?
Maybe, I don't know. It's also possible the mom told LE certain details that we are not privy to.

it depends, for a warrant probable cause needs to be established and LE has to be looking for something specific, they cant just search to search. so maybe if they they could explain why they believed they were related to the house and what they expected to find there

and maybe LE has questioned the man and found inconsistencies in his statements.

Yes, but I think they also had something substantive before the search of the house, that would convince a judge to sign the search warrant.

The phone records and camera records MOO.

It seems logical that a guy is involved but they have not actually said that the POI they are considering is a male.

Would her mothers account of the relationship, plus phone pinging there plus the relative closeness of her car to the residence be enough?
I would think it would have to be more than that. It would have to be enough to show probable cause that he was directly connected to her disappearance, I would think. Did they question him? Was he the last to see her? Did they find evidence that she went to his house that morning? Did he lie to investigators? We would have to know the answers to a lot of questions before we can guess. Imo

A video of him driving her car during that morning time period seems like would be enough? That would be a sign to search his own car or home. There might have also been something from him left her car?

From the 2 different resources that I use, looks like owns it

MOO owns it. There is a deed that shows it was passed to him but I can't link to it or share without revealing his name.

Detective Troyer referred to the POI who lives in the house as "her ex-boyfriend"? You may have missed the press conference, I'll bump the post for you.

Yes, I would think if there is surveillance footage of someone driving her car, or images from neighbors cameras of KC at the home that morning or something like that, it would be enough. I wonder what specific items are listed on the warrant. I think the neighbor said they saw one evidence bag being carried out. I bet they will find something in the truck.

As far as her car is concerned, I'm wondering if they found blood or like you said, something the perp left behind.

Imo

Street view states thats from May of 2019. Tacoma is gritty, its not leave a bra on the side of the road for 16 months gritty.

Still very very interested by the FBI being involved, and what that means for this case? I feel like it's moving quickly and the work being done by LE is excellent (esp. with Troyer added)...

At around 7:20, Troyer says "name him as a suspect".

Thinking of how much grunge and 90's music included houses in Tacoma and bras left in alleys. :) it almost sounds like an old album cover for those who remember the 90's.

The FBI must be invited by LE in order to participate in an investigation. So investigators must have known they would need their assistance from the start. Imo

I may have missed something. Is there a video of him driving her car that morning or are you saying "IF" he is on video driving her car?
