Such a sad case, but a few things I haven't seen discussed before, and which might potentially be important arent clear to me:

-Why did Kassanndra as being an 33 yo live with her mom and step dad? Just because they all wanted too or did she recently lose her job/house or something?

Because Tacomas housing prices have gone up 50%-100% in some areas in the last 4 years. The house thats under investigation was sold for close to $200,000 back in 2014 and now its worth $400,000 if that tells you how bad the market is there.

-The pregnancy hasn't been confirmed by any medical professional right? Can this (potentially fake) pregnancy have been used to get someone to be together with her? Like blackmail or a desperate action to get someone to fall in love with her?
-Why the does the possibility of twins keep being mentioned if she didn't have any ultrasounds before? What makes her think it might be twins? I don't think there has been IVF procedure or anything related which increases the chances of having multiples.
-Is the house being searched the potential baby daddies, or does an ex boyfriend from longer ago live there?

She herself is a twin, which is why they thought it was a possibility.

Normally pregnancies would be confirmed before 16 weeks but with COVID keeping people out of medical offices this spring and people's different experiences with early pregnancy, anything is possible.

A video of him driving her car during that morning time period seems like would be enough? That would be a sign to search his own car or home. There might have also been something from him left her car?

Wow, they had been at the scene all night. Sounds like something horrible happened in that home. Poor Kassanndra. Her family must be devastated.
Just to be clear, the FBI was not at the scene all night. PCSD secured the house yesterday evening, then posted a deputy outside so no one could access the home.
It's my impression the FBI arrived this morning. :)

Family say Kassandra Cantrell was 3 months pregnant when she disappeared. She missed her ultrasound appointment last week. #KomoNews

I did note in the pressor today, Troyer said they are in the process of verifying KC is pregnant, he mentioned something about his team getting her records today. Just a formality, as I'm sure she is.

I'm still having difficulty understanding how the POI did not think all of this was going to point directly back to him o_O
I guess it could have been a heat of passion thing, where maybe things just got out of control? Because if it was planned, it was a pretty poor one.
People who committee these types of crimes always seem to have such false confidence beforehand, I dont know where it stems from but it seems to be pretty powerful and can defy most logic

The twin thing...she is a twin with her brother, no? So fraternal twins is hereditary and maybe she was showing more than she should and/or her blood test had high HCG levels.

Very good point, ty

I agree that something spontaneous could have happened. I don't think, for now, this was premeditated. The location of Kassanndra's car, and the last ping from her phone at Pt. Defiance seem too close to the man's home for it to have been planned in advance. There's so much water, and wilderness in the area, including over that bridge, outside Tacoma. To me it seems a person chose the closest green space to the house, as if in a hurry, to dump her phone.....and possibly her body God forbid.

I wonder why they haven't confirmed the pregnancy yet. Maybe it just takes time to get access to her medical records.
I'm sure with all the HIPAA laws and Privacy Act that they would need a warrant or subpoena to obtain the medical records.
Not sure how long that would take but hopefully they stressed that with KC being pregnant that time is of the essence.

1. I lived with my parents until I was much older, mostly because I was going to school and felt no need to have my own place.
2. I believe the ex is the baby's father

I agree with what you are thinking here. Perhaps she gave him some sort of ultimatum. Maybe she tried to force him to accept this pregnancy and used it to get him to be with her instead of the "other" woman. Or to get some money from him in the way of support.
Whatever, I do also believe (if he is responsible) that it was spur of the moment/ act of rage. JMO

ResidentS allowed to leave. So can we deduce that the gf was living there too? and kids toys outside the home......they have a kid(s)?
If he has kids with his live in girlfriend, a new 'out of bounds' pregnancy could trigger a riot of disruption, anger, etc.

Not by any means, I see this a lot in our area of California.

No kids, it's been said he never wanted them, JMO.

As others have stated, the housing costs in the Seattle Tacoma area (all of western Washington really) are outrageous. People rent out bedrooms in their own houses for several hundred dollars a month to make their mortgages (or pay the ever-increasing tax bill) . A tiny studio might cost 1200 or 1500. My daughter had 7 roomates in a 4 bedroom just so they could afford to have a roof overhead. Might as well live with family rather than strangers. Moo.

Many people live with their parents here. This is historically a lower income area where cost of housing is skyrocketing, but the wages aren't.

I agree- even if the couple didn't have kids, I think an 'out of bounds' baby in the picture would be waaayy harder to process emotionally than your run-of-the-mill cheating, which is miserably painful for most to begin with.
I think it could be a heat of the moment sort of panic murder? if not VERY short-sighted premeditation... some people get really freaking stupid when they feel desperate and backed into a corner, we've seen it time and time again here on WS :(

Yes, they must have found something significant early on in order to get a warrant so quickly. Maybe evidence in her car or from her cellphone communication?
I am thinking they found communication about the meet up between them that morning. That's likely all it would take to get those warrants, IF he denied they met up, or if he said he did meet with her and then she drove away alive and well. JMO

Oh yes, right. The toys could have been a neighbor's, or a visitor's, or gf's relative's.

Shout out for Law Enforcement-

I'm happy to see Detective Troyer involved in Cassanndra's case. He's a straight shooter and great with the media. If you've followed any of the bigger cases in WA State, you will likely remember him (Susan Powell).
Vigil in Puyallup marks 10 years since Susan Powell's disappearance
He must have PTSD from the Susan Powell case. I feel horrible for anyone who worked that case, given the horrendously vile implosion at the end. :(
