Did I ask something wrong? Back to reading; no more posting here for me.

Hi. I haven't posted on this thread, but have been reading all along. Somehow I'm still curious about the woman with initials ML who said she helped Lindsey file an abuse complaint. Do we know anything more about that, or have I missed it?

I don't believe it was ever validated - only her word.

She is strange to me. I looked at her myspace. I don't think anyone has been able to locate where she moved to.

No, nothing wrong .. I recall it being discussed very early on in the case but I do not believe it was ever validated. I am sitting here wracking my brain trying to remember where that landed. I think it landed with information being spun by someone from a blog site" and we could never validate that claims were ever made.

That story of the attempted kidnapping is soooooo scary!!!!!
So I'm sitting at the pool at my hotel and this is the second nite in a row that this girl who looks about 14 years old is here....
The past two nights she's been playing the same game with boy maybe about 11...
They walk very fast around the pool trying to catch each other...
The thing is that is a very large indoor/outdoor pool and the way they go in and out is to go around the back door IN THE DARK where noone is and even if you are looking, it's hard to see back there....
And that's like I said IF you were watching her!!!!
Both nights her mom is sitting WAY on the other side of the pool not even paying any attention to where she is and that at any moment some pervert could easily grab her before anyone notices at all.
It's driving me INSANE!!!!
Some parents DON'T care until it's too late...
Her mom looks like a totally normal person too
Sorry for venting....
I knew this place would understand...
Oh and um,
you really should read "The Shack"!!!!

Quite bold for 2 men to chase a 14 year old girl down the street in broad daylight.

Since these are small towns, it seems that this vehicle will be located quite easily. It will show up on surveillance somewhere. Give LE time.

If I were MB or SB, I would be roaming the small towns looking for this truck myself.

Calling all McCleary residents - go out on patrol and look for these guys!

 • #427
I hope LE is checking every surveillance camera in McCleary looking for this truck. Surly there are ATM cameras, bank cameras, business cameras etc. throughout the town.

 • #428
I agree with momatective, I hope that LE is checking the old Shell station surveillance in McCleary on the day of LB's disappearance to see if any truck with that description showed up at all.

LE thinks there may be a connection to this reported attempt!

Police: Is Tumwater child-luring linked to McCleary girl's case?

Police are investigating whether the attempted abduction of a girl in Tumwater on Wednesday is linked to last month's highly publicized disappearance of 11-year-old Lindsey Baum in McCleary.

Officials say three men tried to kidnap the 14-year-old girl in broad daylight on Wednesday as she was walking along a busy street, but the girl was able to escape by running away.

The close call left the girl very shaken, and now detectives are comparing the similarities between her experience and Lindsey Baum's unexplained disappearance June 26 in McCleary, about 13 miles away.

"We investigate because child lurings aren't as common as most crimes, and when you have two communities that are so close together and the circumstances where obviously it occurred in public areas. And the girls are approximately the same age," says Detective Jen Kolb of the Tumwater Police Department.

The girl now says she believes the men wanted to hurt her.

"In a way, yeah. ... Just the way they were talking to me and trying to come to me," she says.

Kolb said she finds the case "very disturbing" and is struck by the parallels to the disappearance of Lindsey Baum.

Girl, 14, reports luring attempt in Tumwater
Published July 16, 2009
<snipped>
A 14-year-old girl has reported an attempted luring to Tumwater police that occurred while she was walking in the area of Capitol Boulevard and Dennis Street Wednesday around 4:30 p.m.

She said that while she was walking, a pickup carrying three men pulled over, and two of them got out and approached her. One of the males called out to her “hey pretty lady,” and when she saw that the two males were following her she ran away, she said.

She said the men briefly chased her before getting back in their truck and leaving.

The truck is described as an older, lowered, small black truck with tinted windows and stickers on the tailgate. The girl did not get a good look at the driver, but she described the two men who chased her as white males, between 18 and 19, between five-eight and five-eleven, medium build, wearing baseball caps on sideways. Both were wearing large plain white t-shirts and baggy blue jeans.

Yikes. This is very similar to what I saw in my vision. The backward hats were so prominent in my vision that I spent a whole day scouring Lindsey's myspace connections looking for guys who fit that description.

I refrained from sharing my impression that they might be picking up victims for the child sex trade; but since it has been suggested, I will confirm my fears of this.

I can't help but shake the impression that there is a connection to Mexico and methamphetamine. I hope they catch those guys!

Capitol Blvd and Dennis St. are also similar to proximity to major through routes, Interstate 5 and Old Highway 99 from what I can see in GE. It seems to be the sort of place like McCleary where highways and throughfares are right smack in the area of incident.

Yup. HWY 8, from McCleary becomes 101, which merges with I-5 about a mile north of where this happened.

The only reason no one's answered is because those of us on here can't quite remember or are confused by how she's involved. (I'm confused AND I can't exactly remember.)

Yes, I certainly do know you talked about that. Remember: I posted something regarding the city I used to live in a few years back that tween, teen girls were being lured in a mall and kidnapped for prostitution.

Also rape is an initiation for many gangs.

 • #433
I really do hope that LE is informing all gas stops in the area to be on the look out for this truck. Clearly it would be easy to spot, as jvk has indicated. I'm not sure that LE's decision to broadcast it's description so quickly was a great idea because if any of these teens have been following news reports or even sleuthing reports, it isn't likely that they will take the rig out on the road without giving it a complete overhaul, paint job, etc.

However, as momtective has indicated or hinted at, past surveillance cameras might pick up a license plate or some description which would identify someone involved.

So if these guys did take Lindsey, there is still hope that she could be alive, right?

Wanna be white boy gang poseurs.

I guess white guys can be in gangs, or they could be light complected hispanic, for instance.

Also comments by coastal in the Dreams thread reminded me of white boy Joran Vandersloot and his attempts at sex slavery.

I missed that post when you made it; but that is chilling.

I don't have that feeling I usually get when someone has passed. But I do sense that if she could very well wish it would just end. My biggest fear is that she will be removed from the area to a place where she will never be found. Sadly, there are so many thousands of young girls who vanish in this fashion and never escape.

This new story does make me wonder if perhaps these guys are "collecting" a shipment of girls to transport out of the area, and can be caught before they get away.

Wow!! 13 miles away in another small WA town? This could be the break they have been waiting for to find Lindsey.

I would expect to see sketches of the two men in the next couple of days along with possible surveillance footage of the three and the truck. Maybe they were able to get tire tracks or something from the scene to compare.

I agree they should be going back over every surveillance video from not only McCleary, but now expand to every small community surrounding there. Gas stations on the highways should be checked, too. They just need a license plate number!

The girl is so lucky! Bless her heart. I am sure she was terrified as they chased her. Thank goodness she got away.

LE thinks there may be a connection to this reported attempt!

I hope LE is checking every surveillance camera in McCleary looking for this truck. Surly there are ATM cameras, bank cameras, business cameras etc. throughout the town.

I'm sure they've been checking the cameras...there are probably only about 6 in town, 2 of those at the shell station (that I can think of).

The problem around here with identifying a vehicle is that it's not uncommon for said vehicle to end up in capital forest torched before LE can find it...and when it burns any evidence inside goes with it. I can think of 3-4 cases where people did stupid stuff, their car got id'd, and then later was reported burnt. Hopefully in this case that doesn't happen.

Hi sooth seer ~

Yikes is right! These do sound like the guys we looked at. One is on MK's MS page, and from there, one goes to another and to another. They were all groupies of bands that play that crap Satanic Electro Metal music (if that's what you can call it)! Sounded just like the devil to me :( It's way beyond normal and extremely dark.

I've always had a strong suspicion that older kids were playing a role in Lindsey's life, thought process, and possible abduction. The only thing that kept pulling me back from strongly suspecting any ties with the group and Lindsey's disappearance is that the Astrology Charts are pretty locked into the fact that the man who is responsible for Lindsey's abduction is an older man.

Regardless, the people we looked at should be looked into for the mere safety of the community at large. They were like a cult. They all had extremely weird haircuts that were the same and were linked to the Elma, Hosquiam, Aberdeen areas. I know if they were in my neighborhood, I'd be double locking my doors at night, and I can't imagine knowing one of them, even if a relation, was linked to my daughters Myspace page!

To be honest, between the high number of SO's in the area along with these wierdo's, I think the FBI should just set up a permanent office up that way!
