good point ss, the "lack of ability" to scream

I hate to say it, but the sale of human beings is big business. With no taxes.
It's sickening and I know it happens. But in nothing but my personal opinion, I would be more apt to believe gang activity is responsible, if I had to choose between that and child prostitution.

I know that meth and other drugs are a problem in WA, but has it spread to the small towns yet or is it mainly in the cities? There is a definite connection between the drug trade and the sex trade and if McCleary has a behind the scenes drug problem, I might believe the sex ring idea more easily.
Meth is everywhere and everyone's problem anymore. The rural areas are finding out they are no longer immune because of the crackdowns going on in the larger cities. Meth knows no boundaries as to class or race. It is an equal opportunity destroyer.

Excellent question

has it spread to the small towns yet

answer...unfortunately, yes

Ick, I was afraid of that. :(

ETA - I asked because here, meth has not gotten big. It is huge in Detroit, which is not that far from here, but it hasn't reached the epic proportions that crack and heroin have here.
Not to say that they are any better than meth, I'm just trying to get a feel for how fast it spreads.

I reiterate what many have said here, with NG, and all of HLN, I am so bugged that they continue to focus on Jackson. He is dead...come on NG, some children are missing, focus on this

  • #465
I'm sure that Michael, himself, would like everyone to stop focusing on him

  • #466
Your direction is sympathetic NMK, thank you

  • #467
Please, don't look, the man, Jackson, is dead but everyone is worried and concerned about his burnt head. Back to reality. Neveah's autopsy is now known to have dirt in her lungs, but jackson is more important, apparently. I apologise for being "really" bugged by this.

Don't respond, I'm going away for now, I cannot handle this ridiculousness

Maybe a little. I am just shocked they would use her photo! Not because she is a minor, but because she could still be in danger. She can ID those punks.

Is it just me because I have heard it before...or does this, "Hey, pretty lady, how are you?" sound like something a Hispanic gangbanger might say?

Also...this indicates there were four men in the truck. She said she didn't see the driver. And only two of them chased her.

The Tumwater girl, whose name is being withheld, says she was walking along Capitol Boulevard to her mother's place of work when the three men jumped out of a black pickup.

They were yelling, "Hey, pretty lady, how are you?" then came after her, she says.

Oh, Gosh...I just had a horrible thought. I sure hope this isn't a hoax by a 14yo girl wanting attention after Lindsey's case.

I really hope this is a made up story.

Because I'm having a hard time believing it only because I know that is a very busy area. The traffic over there is horrible (I was in that area today and it took me about 20 minutes to go from Israel Road to Trosper Road--that is less than 2 miles). Slow moving traffic and no one seen 2 men chasing a little girl down the road and stopped to help?

I'm not sure why everyone keeps calling Tumwater a "small town". The population is something like 17,000 and unless you know the area very well you can't tell when you have left Olympia and when you have arrived in Tumwater. They run together via Capital Boulevard. It might be classified a "small town" to some.. but it has a big city feeling to those of us who are from "small towns" (less than 5000 people is small town to me) lol

Don't get too excited about survellience cameras in these northwest towns...our town has about double the pop. of McCleary and there are only two areas where there are any cameras here. I am surprised the Shell station had one. Perhaps it is status quo for Shell.

To be honest, I haven't looked at it on the map. Tumwater "sounds" like a small town to me. LOL Sorry. I should be more careful and research it better next time.

Since it is only 13 miles to there...I must be mistaken about the area around McCleary. This changes my ideas a bit on who could have been in town that night. I thought from the looks of the maps...there was a series of smaller towns in and around McCleary.

I think of 17,000 as smallish...course there are 130,000 people in my city, so most everywhere seems a bit small.

Tumwater is HUGE compared to my town! LOL! We do need to be careful how we describe things sometimes - so they make sense to all of us

I'd go crazy in a big city like that. LOL

After 11 years, I still get lost in Eugene! It is about that size! LOL

And when I go up to where Scandi lives, I need a guide!!!

Ok... and?

Children have been known to make up stories like this before. I have a hard time believing this story and maybe I'll be proven wrong. If so, I'll say I was wrong. But until then I say it's a story for attention. I can not believe not one single person saw anything on a very busy four lane road in front of State buildings in broad daylight.

You know, it still amazes me that NO ONE saw Lindsey other than one person. Around here, you SNEEZE and everyone knows about it! If some 🤬🤬🤬 came in and swooped her up, I can't believe no one saw that...They did in the other town which is larger! Was everyone watching "America's Got Talent" that night or something? SO WEIRD!
