It was such a let down. I learned they have a lady manager at the ORV park and finally got her on her cellie. She told me I must have got some misinformation because they haven't had a caretaker there since Feb. I told her I had heard Al was let go and the police took his computer and I was working on the Lindsey Baum case and we were leaving no stone unturned as he possibly had a daughter who knew Lindsey.
I was nice but kept throwing out bullets like, was that Ben B. She finally said yes, Ben was the last caretaker. I said I thought his job was extended until May 31st and they would be looking for a new caretaker, giving Ben time to find new lodging and ready the house for the new man. She said where did you hear that and I said from the notes of the Commissioners meeting. She told me no one has lived in the caretakers trailer for a long time.
That was done on my part to draw her out as she wasn't giving me anything, When I threw out the name Al {as the young man at the booth outside who answered the phone told me the man let go was called} she just said we have many employees here.
I asked her about the search yesterday morning and she said she knew nothing about it.
So, I figure Al was not an official caretaker but an employee who did allot of the things the caretaker would do if he were there. If there is some disciplinary hearing scheduled for Al I can see why she wants nothing out there about him and might have been told to say nothing.
So when you're down and out and feeling blue ya just have to pucker up and smile is my whole feeling about that letdown. Something else will happen or be learned and I am sure Lindsey will be found soon. xox
It was the City Managers office in Montesano who gave me her name and cell #.
