Silverdale Robb Simmons Cub Scout training was to be let out at 6:45pm but let out at 4:30pm and he left for Castle Rock (not knowing the address where he was going to.)

Silverdale 5:00pm (according to...?) - Saturday 13th She left for trip Note: What did she do all day before leaving?
Good point. Who saw her leave town? Did she call someone before leaving, telling them that she was headed out? If he left 30 minutes before she did, then he didn't go home before leaving town? And if he didn't know the address, how did he expect to get there... since (as he points out more than once) his cell was almost dead.

Toledo-Vader 6:45pm - Boyfriend called about bringing her cellphone, he had stopped making "minor" repair (10 miles from Castle Rock).

Castle Rock 7:40pm - Boyfriend reaches stepfather's home.
Why did it take him nearly an hour to drive 10 miles?

West Olympia Handy Pantry on Division Street 7:50pm (almost 3 hours after departing home) - Surveillance video, told clerk she was lost, seen viewing a map of Olympia.

Restaurant Martin Way diner on Forth Avenue East in Olympia 9:00pm (4 hours after leaving, 1 hour after talking to person at West Olympia Mini Mart) - bought hotdog but left it (after paying for it) - Had trouble staying awake, fell on her knees at the parking lot.
And son says she hit her head.

Gull Harbor Merchantile on Boston Harbor Road 9:54pm (almost 5 hours after leaving) - Store surveillance camera puts her there but the store was closed.

D****s W******'s home 1400 block of 46th Avenue NE 10:00pm - Told she was lost, called "grandfather" (Silas Smith) and told him she was lost and Williams was giving her directions (why call the grandpa and not the boyfriend or stepfather?)
Exactly.

North Olympia short time after - Surveillance on gas station shows her heading to town (?)

Zangle Road Northeast in a private road Sunday morning(no time) - neighbor saw the van in the water and called 911 Neighbor says all doors open, newspaper says APPARENTLY the side (which side) and hatchback were open. Van backed up into water that reached up to the seats.

Her purse gone, but wallet left behind. (Did someone take the purse not unknowing her wallet was not there? Wallet was on backseat, hidden?
Did they know she was carrying a purse rather than a tote of some sort with a change of clothes?

Ok, I was searching earlier and I think I found that her ex-boyfriend lived in Olympia. What are the chances that she was having a melt down and decided to look him up but couldn't find his house. I could be way off here, but it seems fairly obvious that she was not looking for the highway. Also wondering about the "elderly couple" he didn't seem very elderly in his interview with the news. Just saying.

Haven't finished reading so I apologize if this has been asked/answered > What was the tide in this area at this time then?

Low tide was around 10:30 pm that night (I posted it earlier somewhere), then the tide rose 12 feet over the next 8 hours to a high tide around 6 am.
The tidal current is apparently quite strong in the area, but if you are wading near shore, that is not much of an issue. If you are swimming, it is a problem.

The water did not go higher than the seats in the van, so it seems like they would not have had to swim. Also, based on that level of water, I am guessing that the water did not even reach the van until 3 a.m. or so.

I was on a nearby beach yesterday before I heard about this and amazed at how fast the tide was coming in. You could watch it creep up the beach.

There were not any waves in the area, so that is not an issue.

If they did go into the water, why are divers looking in that area? Anything in the water would be swept far away by that current...

Posted a page or two back that he is 49. That's quite elderly

If that is true about him living in Olympia, that would be a BIG DEAL. Do you recall where you saw that?

Her driving pattern does sound like someone who was looking for something other than the freeway.

Now that we know that she was taking psych meds and possibly drinking...the combination could explain most of her actions that night.

Why did it take him nearly an hour to drive 10 miles?

The repair.

Plus the timing doesn't work if you think he did something. This was HOURS before her last sighting.

IMHO: BF had nothing to do with it. He's incredibly nervous. He seems to be the type to go over everything in great detail after-the-fact, which would include not just the times/locations of the call with her but also the relapse. After all, someone may have seen her at a bar, or liquor store... and that could jar their memory.

Anyone remember the ex's name?

I was searching all over for this. I thought I had read it. This is a comment allegedly by an employee at the diner they stopped at. I'm really afraid she may have been drinking. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm just trying to find a reason for her seemingly erratic behavior.

After the fiance said she had relapsed last week, I thought I had remembered seeing this, and just finally found it.

I think she may have told her little boy she hit her head as a means of explaining her erratic behavior or confusion to him.

A post from a waitress from the diner they were at that night.
=======================
Wantmy, I work at the Martin way diner..your stepmom and Azriel were in about 9 pm Saturday. They ordered a corn dog and tater tots to go, and payed for them, but while I was cooking their dinner, I watched them get up and leave. I didn't think too much about it, but they never came back. My waitress asked me what should we do with their order, and I told her to just wait..they might come back..My waitress told me that the woman seemed drunk, but the kid told my waitress. "Mommy hit her head". We wondered if she might have a concussion. We reviewed our security tapes, and she fell down outside the restaurant. She might have had a concussion..I don't know if she was a drinker or not, but she didn't order any alcohol at our place..I hope they're ok..I ended up taking that dinner home for myself, and it eats at me that I might have take azreils last meal..

=========================
I have no way of knowing if this is accurate information or not.
Hopefully, if it is true, that this person has called the police.

bbm I thought I had read all posts but I must have missed that. Do you have a link?

I have seen the fiance's timeline questioned several times, but he is an avid long distance bicycler. That would make his timeline make more sense, and the wording that he stopped to make a repair on the way.

The other thing I notice is that he drives around with the step father that night, and the following morning *they* drive north up I5 which again makes me think he wasn't in a vehicle of his own.

There are a ton of ads with his phone number with bike equipment, an article written by someone else that did a several hundred mile ride with him, and her myspace blogs discuss her training with him and him getting her a bike for this type of riding.

If her ex truly does live in Oly, one would have to wonder if she was in fact familiar with that area?????

He was interviewed in a news article.

Article implies that the ex lives in Castle Rock (or nearby):
http://www.kptv.com/news/22860661/detail.html

"We're all just really worried, really concerned, because this is not something that would be in her character," said (...) the missing woman's ex-husband. "The circumstances I've seen and the timeline I've been reading really makes me wonder."

He said Smiley e-mailed him last week, saying she was going to be in Castle Rock and wanted to stop by.

He said he's been having health issues and fears he might have cancer. So this past week he suggested they get married.

That's when she started drinking again. But he does not think that played any role in what happened.

"The idea she would stop and drink is not a realistic thing. I do not see her doing that, I don't see herself doing that putting herself at risk, getting in trouble with the law, putting her son at risk," he said.

Detectives say they're trying to learn all they can about Smiley's emotional state and trying to determine if she had any mental or physical health problems Saturday night. She has no history of such problems.

So I just read he told her he thinks he has cancer so he asked her to marry him and she started drinking again. Wow. This is so crazy. I wonder what we will hear tomorrow?

That is really weird. She has been referring to him as a fiance for much longer than a week. And she had a recent cancer scare but was found to be clean. It is in her myspace blogs.

I cannot wait, next weekend we are attending the Cub Scouts Father's Day Family campout. This is when D.J. crosses over to be a Bear Scout, and Azriel becomes a Tiger Scout. This is one of those things Jay and I said we were going to do with Az. I can't believe that the man I am with now has totally blown my mind with how much he loves my son. Robb got so excited yesterday about next weekend, that he bought him his scouting uniform. Mind you those things are not cheap! I am also keeping my word and being the Tiger Scout Den Leader. It's too bad that Jay is too busy working on his comedy career to see that I am doing the things that we planned. I am, with the help of a great man, making Azriel into the boy and man that I always wanted him to be!

Snipped from her MS account. Jay is the person in New York that BF called?

So the ex is saying that Shantina said she wanted to stop by? Wonder if they had any plans to meet on Saturday. Surely that will come out in the investigation.
