I understand that murder has no statute of limitations, and that is why they haven't charged Julia yet. They have all the time in the world to hold onto evidence until they have enough to secure a conviction.

But my worry is that there will never be enough to charge Julia with murder, and there IS a statute of limitations for lesser charges. If they aren't confident they can pull off a conviction with a murder charge, it would be a shame to let the moment pass for any justice at all. I'd rather see her charged with child abuse/endangerment for Sky and M, as opposed to nothing at all.

After so many years, they finally charged Juliette Guerts' mother and her boyfriend. The mother wasn't charged with murder, and now she is fighting to have it dropped since the prosecutors waited too long to file. I don't want that to happen here.

That's exactly my fear as I posted in my last post. They could charge her with something related to M. She neglected M. She endangered M. She admitted to it. What are they waiting on?

Precious little Sky...where are you???

Years ago a family member (age5) was abducted and murdered. Her brother (age 4) was with her when she was abducted and was the only witness. He didn't talk...for a while anyway....a few years later (I think he was 7 by this time) the abductors picture flashed across the screen and he went ballistic. He had done this one other time right after her abduction when this same man was shown but nothing ever came if it back then because he wouldn't talk (I'm sure he may have been too traumatized). Once he was a little older and saw this guy again he started telling what happened. Now mind you not all at once. Little bits and pieces at a time over a couple of months. When LE finally put all of the pieces to his story together it was very consistent with the evidence they had but no witness or solid proof at the time. I am hoping this will happen in this case and that little M will be the key that unlocks this monsters jail cell!

Kirkland father speaks about moving out of homelessness since son, Sky Metalwala, went missing

http://www.kirklandreporter.com/news/196687231.html

How in the hell can Soloman have been homeless after gaining custody of M while Julia lives in a high end apartment after having disappeared Sky and not having any interest in maintaining contact with her other child?

I thought she was living there with subsidized rent because she had children and a low income. :furious:

Is Julia still living in that apartment? Sounds like Solomon said he lost both houses and his job. (I thought he owned a few businesses?)

Unless M saw something, I am sadly unconvinced we will ever know what happened to Sky. If she DID see something, then it is great that she is with her dad, whom she trusts, and her mom has no visitation. Give her time...remember how long it took for Elizabeth Smart's sister to remember, and she was many years older.

I absolutely believe M holds the key to unraveling what happened to Sky. Young children do retain events in their memories that they aren't able to verbalize, or fully comprehend, at the time. I also believe, though, M will need professional counseling before she can recall the events leading to Sky's disappearance. A confounding a factor for M is that Julia planted so many lies in her mind that she will need to learn how to separate her mother's fabrications from reality.
