I'm guessing the West Fork Foss River and Lakes trailhead was where his car was found. I wish we knew how long the vehicle was sitting there after the date he was last seen.

One possible match with an unidentified person - skeletal remains of a Caucasian male, est. 30-70 found Mt. Si, roughly 68 miles from Angeline Lake in Skykomish, his last known location. Shannon was described as having "Light colored wire frame glasses" and a pair remarkably similar were found with the skeleton on Mt. Si.
