Jury back in
Two defendants, Terrence Whall and Gavin Jones are back in the dock.
Darren Jones and Martin Roberts pleaded guilty to arson of a Land Rover Discovery yesterday, and will be sentenced later.

Witness statement from paramedic
Paramedic Richard Roberts, who treated Mr Corrigan tells the court he received a call to attend a “74-year-old male who was bleeding” at 12.39am on April 19.
He arrived at 1.01am.
Mr Roberts said the lady told them “Gerry was bleeding heavily” from the arm and a heavy trail of blood led up the stairs to Gerry.
He was calling “Give me oxygen” and said he had been electrocuted, Mr Roberts said.

Puncture wound was 'trickling blood'

Mr Roberts allied trauma bandage onto wound, but away clothing to expose chest and he noticed puncture wound trickling blood.. He kept saying he had suffered electric shock and said satellite dish was on the ground. He noticed a further puncture wound in his abdomen.

Doubts over injuries
Mr Roberts said he was doubting Mr Corrigan had been electrocuted and said the wounds were more consistent with a traumatic injury.
Mr Corrigan said he hadn’t fallen and said he was having a heart attack. They got him to the ambulance.

Gate was open
The court hears Mr Roberts went to question Mr Corrigan’s partner, Ms Bailey and she showed him the site of the incident outside near the dish.
Mr Roberts noticed a stone garden wall in front of the house and saw the gate was open.

Arrow bold 'covered in fresh blood'

Mr Roberts was wary of electrion and Ms Bailey asked him to shut th gate as it was usually shut. He noticed an arrow bolt about 18 inches covered in fresh blood. He asked “Do you have anything to do with bows and arrows” She said “No”

Paramedic reported incident to police
Mr Roberts said Ms Bailey had said there was a minor disagreement on land vetting.
He said it was a “suspicious incident” and he would be reporting it to the police and took Mr Corrigan to hospital.
Mr Roberts thought Mr Corrigan had been shot with an arrow.

Paramedic put arrow in a bag
Mr Roberts placed the arrow in a hospital plastic bag and went back with police to Gof Du, where Mr Corrigan lived, to confirm the location where the arrow was found.

Two puncture wounds
The next statement is from Mr Robert’s paramedic colleague, who also went to Gof Du that night and confirms two puncture wounds on Mr Corrigan - one above his right nipple and another on his left side underneath his rib cage.

Mr Corrigan tells of dispute after being shot

Mr Corrigan tells the paramedic he’s had a dispute with a person leasing the field next door.

Statement by medic at the hospital says Mr Corrigan was very unwell and there was “an entrance and exit wound”. The arrow was seen and the police were called.

Ysbyty Gwynedd clinical site manager
Nichola Jones clinical site manager at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor, says she was told Mr Corrigan hadn’t been electrocuted, but had been shot by an arrow.
Police attended and she spoke to them and collected the arrow for officers.

'Blood stained arrow'
The court hears in another statement how “a blood stained arrow” was discovered at the scene by paramedics.

Mr Corrigan given 'life saving surgery'
Consultant Dr Tim Scott in the IC unit at Royal Stoke Hospital says Mr Corrigan was transferred over on the night of April 19.
He says he had been given life saving surgery and had been placed in an induced coma at Bangor which was maintained in Stoke.
Mr Scott added Mr Corrigan would not have been able to speak due to breathing tube and had operations the next day, but the outlook was not good. He described his condition as “critical”.

Sepsis

Mr Corrigan had sepsis through his body which was treated. Despite efforts to save him experts said they expected him to die soon, but continued to do all they could.

'Horrific' injures were 'non-survivable'

Mr Corrigan’s body was “disintegrating” internally due to injuries which were not repairable and he eventually died on May 11. He had received “an horrific injury that was non-survivable,” the doctor said.

Crime scene examiner Andrew Yates is now giving evidence.

Markers show location of blood splatters
Mr Yates placed yellow markers in the area.
Number two marks where blood was found on the top edge of the dish. Green arrows show blood spots on the house wall where swabs were taken.
Marker four is the location of blood spatter on ground and marker five shows more blood on the grass. Marker six shows area of blood on step.

'Lots of blood'
Mr Yates told the court how there was “lots of blood in the house” and a “heavily blood stained light switch”.

Blades from head of crossbow recovered

Blades from the head of a crossbow were also recovered on April 19 and 20, near to the location where Mr Corrigan was shot by the satellite dish.

Paramedic indicated where the arrow was recovered from and the direction it was pointing, which was towards the gate.
