I bet they did get into those safes, hence the FBI showing up.

I heard they brought in the "Jaws of life" but that was to breach the door of the temple. I didn't hear about a jackhammer, but just because I didn't hear about it doesn't mean it isn't out there.

As far as I have been told by a few people they found automatic guns and granades!

I am so glad that Jeffs was in prison and not immediately available to them. If so, I think this would have turned out much differently.

I'm sorry, but I cannot imagine kissing hubby at night and then watching him go to bed with someone else, anyone else... but my little sister???!!! Can you imagine sleeping with him afterwards and wondering if another wife pleased him more?

Still, we tend to compare to our own lives. Their lives are different. Maybe they don't watch them off to bed with another. Maybe they all go to bed together.

From what I read it depends on the sect they belong to or if they belong to one.

I have to confess, when I saw the older women being interviewed my thoughts weren't poor poor mother. My thoughts were more to the point of "old enough to have had little girls 14 years old, and gave them to old men to rape." "Old enough to have run her little boys out of the compound."

You all have talked about how the women almost seemed to be talking from a script. I noticed that too, esp. when the reporter started asking questions that obviously weren't on the script- like giving young girls to old men. One woman esp. hesitated like she had to think what to say about that. Then she refused to answer and said this isn't about that. This is about our children.

On Larry King Live they ran a brief clip of two women being interviewed. The reporter asked if there were any underage girls being married at the ranch. They shook their heads no. The reporter asked how old they were when they got married, and they both paused. I had the feeling they were thinking of a number. They both said, "21." The reporter then asked how old they are now, and one said 32 and the other 31. They both looked way older than that!

That doesn't surprise me. I believe Jeffs was stockpiling weapons and I wouldn't put it past him and his band to be selling them either.

I'm sorry - but it just cannot be ok. Sisters are generally competitive anyway. Let me ask you, if you or your husband brought home another (younger) woman/man and said they still loved you but they love this other person too, what would you do? You see this often with young, first-born children who suddenly have a new sibling. Much of the time, they are not happy. I'm talking about babies who have not yet been taught to be "politically correct."

I am so glad that Jeffs was in prison and not immediately available to them. If so, I think this would have turned out much differently.

I agree with that. Jeffs was teaching them that the govt (or others) would try to take them out and there are former members who say that there are those who will kill for him.

I think you've got that right, Fairy. It adds up. 57 men on the ranch. (51+6)=57 legal wives. Everyone else is either a child or a mother with a child under the age of four.

There were 417 children removed
18 pregnant children
27 teenage boys (so few boys!)
100 children over the age of five
That leaves 145 children at Ft Concho. Some of these are under the age of 5, and some are probably teenage moms.

Also, 139 women originally left the compound with the children.
51 returned
6 went to a safe house, and have now also returned
That leaves 82 women who are still with the 145 kids at Ft Concho.

One of the CNN reporters said yesterday that since the women and children were removed from the YFZ ranch (April 4), they've had one give birth, and another one was in labor yesterday. So add two more children to the list.

I wondered if the one that was born and the one that was about to be born yesterday, was one of the adult mothers, or one of the underage pregnant girls?

I agree...........in all the pictures we've seen, I don't remember seeing any women who were pregnant, and any woman who is within a week of giving birth is going to be obvious. I think CPS has kept the pregnant teens out of camera range.

The only pictures we've seen shows older women, none pregnant, and younger children.

What are the chances that now the crimes are being proven, with allegations in other states, reports of unresponsive authority in other states, government contracts funding an illegal organization... what are the chances that the sentate will now start looking at/investigating this? That is one way to make sure that the other states become more aggressive.

I beleive that the FBI will begin forcing Arizona and utah to take action now that this is out.

After watching the women on TV today giving interviews about there kids & answering questions...I seriously can't imagine them caring who pleased him most. Or what happened in there lives. Each one was like a ziombie What they said seemed to be totally rehersed.
