Was BR involved? #2

As someone who has followed this case randomly, I would like to ask a question. I have seen different threads on Websleuths about JBR. As I glance at these threads I can see there is a definite division as to who is or is not responsible for the death of JBR.

Can someone on here tell me the pros and cons in a fairly simple manner of each side?

I realize that might be asking too much but I just don't have the time to go over ALL of the threads to learn everything.

I would just like a little insight into both sides.

nannymo,

JDI: John Did It with Patsy assisting with staging as per the ransom note.

PDI: Patsy Did It with John assisting with the staging and version of events.

BDI: Burke Did It with both parents assisting with the staging, e.g. Patsy writes the ransom note while JR redresses JonBenet in size-12's and hides her away in the wine-cellar.

IDI: Intruder Did It.

All three Ramsey's are complicit in the death of JonBenet since they all hold to the same version of events. Burke Ramsey's version was questioned about him being sound asleep, the parents later retracted this version.

The parents have both been charged via true bills by the GJ of Child Abuse and Assisting the Killer.

Take your pick all four theories and variants have their backers on websleuths.

Dr. Phil McGraw Previews Burke Ramsey Interview
August 14, 2016

“The missing link is Burke Ramsey because in 20 years, he has never spoken publicly. He was interrogated threes times: once when he was 9 and twice when he was 12. But those interrogation tapes disappeared.”
“We have Burke Ramsey and we have the three interrogation tapes,” McGraw reveals.
“So for the first time in 20 years, we are going to hear from the other person that we know was in the house the night that child was tragically murdered.”

“We are going to find out what he knows, what actually transpired from his point of view and what happened from the minute he woke up that morning and what has transpired inside that family since then.”
McGraw describes Burke’s demeanor as “very candid and forthcoming.”
The three part series also includes an interview with JonBenet’s father, John Ramsey."

They took him back to the house for the interview? What is wrong with Dr. Phil?

  • #907
Just saw a commercial for the ID 3 part series and they showed "lost" Burke interview footage. I'm thinking he's doing Dr. Phil to explain away something or things in there.

Simply to establish some clarity about the promo for Dr. Phil’s program, for anyone who hasn’t read ST’s or Kolar’s books:

-On the afternoon of December 26, 1996 BR was interviewed briefly by a BPD detective because BR was considered a witness. This interview was recorded and a transcript created which Kolar reviewed.

-BR was interviewed by a psychologist at the demand of CPS, since there had been a child’s death in the home. The interview took place on January 8, 1997, when he was 3 weeks shy of 10. The psychologist wanted to interview him again, but the second interview did not take place. Kolar was able to view the psychologist’s interview.

-BR’s next interviews took place over 3 days in June of 1998 in Atlanta. BR was 11. The DA’s office arranged to send a detective from the nearby Broomfield Police Department who held a degree in child development to conduct the interview. The BPD had viewed these tapes and subsequently converted them to DVDs, which could be preserved for a longer period of time. Kolar reviewed all of them, except for the third due to a faulty DVD disk. A BPD detective summarized some of the details of the final segment for Kolar.

ST discussed some of the details about the Atlanta interviews in his book. It did not appear that the BPD detectives felt much information was gleaned which was helpful to their investigation. According to ST, once when asked how his sister had been killed, BR replied, “I have no idea.”

-Lastly BR was called to testify at the GJ. It would be his decision whether to talk about this to Dr. Phil.

Hope Tricia has budgeted for extra server up-time, the forums will go wild over this if they are published.

Uh, Uh, this is how you do it Burke!

“We are going to find out what he knows, what actually transpired from his point of view and what happened from the minute he woke up that morning and what has transpired inside that family since then.”
BBM: Check that out, no way is BR going on national TV to recount the 911 call, or is he, is that why Daddy will be doing an interview, i.e. to explain away the inconsistencies? These three interviews might be the R's reply to BDI?

BR must be being paid a small fortune to do these interviews. With DailyMail.com behind the scenes as a partner to Dr Phil, I reckon we will be served up some standard tabloid journalism.

For those that can stream and record, the Dr Phil show will be available online.

I'm just curious as to why Burke chose Dr. Phil over anything else.

I will be interested in seeing his interview, but I am also one who never believed Burke had anything to do with his sisters death. Accidents happen, you don't cover them up with ransom notes etc..So don't feel anyone covered for Burke. I don't know what exactly happened but I never felt he was involved. Parents perhaps, Intruder perhaps IDK. I have a hard time thinking an intruder spent so much time in that house though..so I lean toward parents.

Haha, OK I'll take that as a reason.

By the way here are the links to the promos to both the Dr. Phil interview and the Investigation Discovery show, just in case anyone hasn't seen them:

Thank you for posting this preview, apabld! I'm curious to see the never-before-seen interview with nine year old BR. More so, actually, than his upcoming interview with Dr. Phil.

IMO, we have James Kolar's book to thank for all of this Burke-mania media coverage coming within the next couple of months.

I cannot get over how much Burke resembles PR. This photo was saved from the FFJ website.
I'm going to try to watch these interviews without many expectations that he's going to be dropping bombshells. I'm just so interested in hearing from the last 1/3 of this equation.
*hope it's okay to share this photo here. MODS please delete, if necessary.

Promo for CBS series:
http://tvline.com/2016/08/16/jonbenet-ramsey-cbs-series-trailer-murder-mystery-solved/

Near the end, you can see they were trying to get Burke to talk. Maybe something like this spurred his decision to go on Dr. Phil.

Hmm.

I really think that "The Case Of" will lean heavily towards the RDI theory. John has nothing to do with it.

However, we have Dr. Phil show airing on the same network. There is no way Burke would be going on that show if it wasn't going to be sympathetic towards him.

Perhaps Burke's appearance on Dr. Phil is being done to hopefully get the public on his side before The Case Of airs a week later.

I also would not be surprised if Burke releases a book by the holidays if the interview does well.

Interesting that both shows are airing on the same network. I wonder if they are both going to imply BDI, imply that Burke didn't do it or maybe 50-50?
