Elle, it has been a while since I read the particular article you referenced and I will concede your point that I may have misunderstood whether Ronald was actually with Joe when the small animals were alleged to have been tossed, but my main points are even better illustrated by your bolded quote:

My main point of disconnect with this story is that since the gun was allegedly stolen on day one of their acquaintance, when are Ronald and Joe supposed to have gone to the river to "fish, shoot the breeze, maybe drink a tall cool one, and talk about life...and the appetite of Alligators" as he told Art Harris?

Bold by me...exactly my question. For some reason, and I can't remember to be honest with you, I thought RC knew Joe before he knew Misty and the Croslins. I can't figure out when Joe and RC supposedly went on these fishing expeditions, doesn't make one bit of sense if RC is saying that his gun was stolen on the day he met Joe O. Do we know if Overstreet has any other relation in Florida besides the Croslins? I must stop allowing myself to get so distracted by all these little hang ups I guess. None of these players seem to remember dates or time frames properly from one day to the next even. Like interviewing rocks is going to be my new favorite saying, I think. : )

The thing that makes sense, if one can make sense in this, is that Haleigh was in trouble, misty called the last person she was with (that is usually what people do) and it was tommy, he called JO.

...........just throwing this out there as long as they have the van involved. Tommy has just said that the rope was missing that night (crazy talk, imo) but I am just going by what is out there at the moment according to AH.

Wow, Joe enjoying watching alligators in their native habitat or eating a large carcass thrown in is way different than him saying that he enjoys throwing small animals in for the alligators. He needs to be more careful how he words things or it will continue to get really twisted around.

Let me respectfully remind you that we haven't heard Joe say anything about the above, only Ronald Cummings.

Is it just me or does it seem somewhat ironic that a life long resident in proximity to the river and alligators is relating this gruesome tale about a kid from Tennessee, where the only alligators are in zoos?

Must have watched a lot of TV in the hills or something.

If we go with a weapon taking Haleigh's life and it is a gun that may mean rc is involved. rc and his lies are aggravating. He states his gun was stole when he first met JO...which had to be between Jan27 and Feb 9.

We have BIG problems with this because rc wants to distance himself completely from any gun and from JO.

This makes many put him smack in the middle of the crime. WHY does rc deny gun, fight, and JO ever happening. Of course, rc would be steaming mad. What did he do about it, is the question? I am sure rc didn't just sit back either. There is a story here.

Chelsea said she had the van, I don't think we have a way to know when she came into possession of it unless she says so but I don't believe a word any of them say anymore. Did Tommy still have the red truck? i thought one was reported to have been seen that night in the area?

We need to know what time Chelsea fell asleep, and what her husband was doing. JMO

IDK, Elle but if you listen to the clip of the Cobra tape I put on YouTube he very clearly says the gun incident allegedly happened the first time he met Joe. According to Misty's LVA Joe was only down for 2 weeks and Ronald said he had been here 3 days when he met him for the first time and the gun incident supposedly happened.

Working back from a departure date of 2/10, he would have arrived around 1/27 with RC's first meeting around 1/29.

Chelsea just said in that interview that she borrowed the van Monday night. That was interesting because I thought she had it since the accident. Another missed opportunity by JC to clarify an important issue. It would be important to know when that van came in her possession..

According to Chelsea, Timmy was asleep due to the accident. I didn't know he was even in an accident.
Ron reported that JO was not in his normal clothes he wears to be and I remember earlier that it was reported JO was talking on his phone in his room. Why does this case have to be so darn confusing? RC's information has muddled the waters because he stated timmy saw JO. Chelsea said tim was sleeping.

not sure what I think of Chelsea... she was preggers about 6 months along? and had two small children... she could have been OUT COLD (sleeping hard) all night or up and down like most mom's with two kids and another on the way...(bathroom visits, baby kicking, kids crying, etc)

Hi Ginger, she delivered at the end of July, I think. If correct, she was about four months. Either way, rc puts timmy awake. Again, with rc, he is not specific on time..none of these people can read a clock or a calendar. So where did rc get the info that timmy was spotted in his clothes instead of in his boxers. Chelsea has pointed in the direction of JO.

What took the LE so long to solve the case if it were JO. Sorry, but he should be the most obvious if all pointed to him. All this time and misty could not give any help? Sounds to me like it is misty and or rc that was the focus. If a member of the family who no one likes is suspected by them and committed a murder, why did they all shut down, ron included?

I just thought of something. knowing rc he had more than one gun. Where were his guns when LE arrived? He must have stowed them somewhere...not to mention, any drugs or weed. If he hid anything, there is a chance he knew long before 3:23 Haleigh was gone.

I would love to see those records. I hope they had a chance to get them and the texts, but somehow I doubt it. They may have the calls but no pings and no texts. He was texting misty too I bet..

If he really couldn't find her, it is a slam dunk he had to call timmy that night and JO was with timmy. Timmy was a favorite of ron's, and he lives close, so why wouldn't he have called...OF course he did.

Yet Chelsea never mentions it. Ninety calls and not one person except for Tommy admits to receiving any...very, very weird.

Not sure but I think it would take a couple hours to get them printed up and distributed so say the print shops open at 8:00, 9:00 maybe after 12:00 pm?

No, he sold it but the police did get it to look for evidence.
