Well the hangar is a white elephant. Who can you sell it to, especially as the country faces another economic downturn? There just aren't enough buyers, I'd bet, to get a fair price for the hangar, and that is no doubt why DM still holds it. The value of the 6-plex was claimed by the bank, but that still leaves millions in real estate.
I think DM still has loads of money (and big but far from insurmountable legal bills). DM biggest problem is IMO the fact that he turned out to be the kind of guy everyone first imagined: a rich, self-centred playboy. No doubt he would like a deal, but any deal that leaves DM to live his life freely with his investment-bolstered millions years in the future is not going to be justice in many people's eyes. I am sure someone is going to argue that DM felt so entitled, he thought nothing of killing others. The idea of ever reuniting this man with his money and freedom is repellant, IMO.
