Although they have not been sequestered, that option’s not off the table. Judge Edward Burmila has reserved that right if he decides it’s necessary. He talked about that Wednesday night when a note from the jury asked whether they would go home after deliberations or have to stay somewhere else.
“I don’t want to answer (a jury question) in such a way that it suggests that (sequestration) would never happen. That remains a possibility,” said Burmila.
