Sharon's case has never been solved. They still do not know who she was or where her son is.

Come on, Tricia! Another hint!! The year wouldn't be telling us the exact case. LOL

The word sensational is tripping me up. I can't think of any perps who were that sensational and weren't a national case. Darn it.

Let me check with the reporter and see what I can and can't say.

When the word "sensational" is used in this case it means this case had a freakish thing in it. Very sad but something that made you go, "OMG WHAT A SICKO."

Hee hee the number of viewers on the missing persons forum has gone up dramatically.

Then I would have to say that they are looking on the wrong thread. They should be looking at the "located" forum. The clues stated;
*Sensational and crazy perp
*Case is closed

I was thinking maybe it was the little girl who was found in a neighbor's closet. And he had cannibalistic intentions. Does anybody remember that case? It didn't get that much national attention. I think it was last year and she was a beautiful red headed little girl.

I think this is the case your talking about... they recently convicted and sentenced to death:

That's what's tripping me up too.

Ok, let me clarify some things:

When I say "national case" I mean like Scott Peterson, JonBenet. This doesn't mean the case did not receive national attention at some point. In fact it did, because of the perp's behavior.

Now I feel like an idiot. When you all find out what the case is you are going to come to my house like the villagers in Frankenstein...ready to burn me to death for giving you such bad clues.

Sensational meaning his actions made you go, OMG. Not a national case as in like Scott Peterson. I hope this helps.

LOL Thanks, Tricia~

Thanks, Tricia! You've definitely got my curiousity up!

I think I'll take a stab at it! Could it be Ward Weaver III - the murdering perp that killed his daugher's two friends, Ashley Pond and Amanda Gaddis; and then disposed of their bodies in his back yard?

Ward Weaver III is definitely a sicko! (Seems to run in the family!)

I posted this on another thread, but I figured that this was the best place for it, so I came here as well. I just want to say that I am so proud to be a member here, even though I don't have much to contribute. I know that when I come here, I will find intelligent postings that don't just contain argumentative rhetoric.
I remember when there was a kidnapping that members here pointed out was eerily similar to Shawn Hornbeck's (I don't remember the little guy's name who was missing- Ben maybe?) and I thought "OMG! They are so right!" And sure enough, I still can feel the goosebumps I got when the news finally broke.
So I just want to tell the people here to pat themselves on the back. I tell my IRL friends about this site, and when I "know" things about cases, they are always amazed. WTG Websleuths!

   Lurker and Kgeaux, I do that, too! :) I can see Nancy's face someday when we start using our screennames when we call in. LOL (Or we could set up our own code word for our fellow WSers to know it is us.)

Didn't someone do this when the Scott Peterson case was going on? I haven't read through all of the postings, so maybe someone else posted this! It was isp or something. Argh! This is bugging me.

During the Scott Peterson case posters agreed to use the word "ilke".

That was before my time. :)

That's right! I remember watching Nancy Grace and someone used the word! She kind of smiled, and I thought that she knew exactly where it was from. :)
