I have to go into work for a few hours shortly. I must arrange my work schedule for more Juan next week. Anyone know what days we have Court?

The docket currently shows 09:30 starts M - Th.
http://www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/docket/calendar/calList.asp?ID=3604&startdate=4/8/2013&length=7

As per every morning, Judge S has a few cases at 08:30 first.

Either I never knew, or forgot - Juan says Arias told the police they should check out Travis' roommate Thomas Brown!! This is when she called Flores to "help". Anyone else remember that? I must have blocked it out - my husband may have been abusing me at the time by not rubbing my feet - and he KNOWS I like that!

You remember, you just have the fog right now. :floorlaugh:

After viewing the injuries inflicted upon poor Travis and time has passed the ones that bother me most are his defensive wounds :furious:

  • #504
JM says 'Travis struggled to grab the knife' I'm sobbing.

:hug:It is heartbreaking, isn't it?..especially in knowing that those who love him most are there hearing these horrific and devastating details of his very last moments here on this earth!..they know him best and while hearing these events described like Travis desperately attempting to protect himself, they know him, they can in their minds eye replay those scenes in their minds seeing such additional, traumatizing details of what and how Travis' reactive faces of fear, terror, and ultimate acknowledging that this battle he could not and would not survive.. those details we don't have in our minds due to our being here on the outside, having not known this victim in life...

IMO its exactly this that has me feeling such overwhelming sympathy, compassion, and the very real desire to some how offer them comfort from this pain..

JM now talking about the burglary.
I really should go back and count the # of times the DT tried to get ANYTHING having to do with the burglary of the gun out of the entire trial. Judge S would say, "No, it can come in", and the next and next and next meeting, DT would bring it up again and again. I guess they thought if they brought it up enough, she'd change her mind.

Hello all,

I'm a newbie and am enjoying these discussions. Can someone tell me how to follow my previous posts to see if there were any responses? I don't want to ignore any replies, but at this point I only see them if I just happen to run across them.

No. HLN was running some of her Testimony earlier since there is no Court Fridays. Now we are at Juans Opening Statements.

Sorry...I was being facetious.

Watching opening statement now....

JA looks like she's aged 48 years since the first day of this trial. Yowzer.

No, I wouldn't be 'hiding out' and I also wouldn't be in the courtroom taking up valuable court time, forcing the Judge to make statements about my presence and assign someone to escort me around, making the Alexander family go through yet another useless delay, giving the defense ANY opportunity to suggest they have a reason to ask for a mistrial, giving the court watchers/camera guy etc something to focus on other than the murder of Travis Alexander......etc......

If I was truly interested in justice for Travis, I'd make a statement that I'm not going to talk ever and I'd watch the trial on tv or online in my own home just like everyone else. Period. I would recognize that this is not a reality tv show, it's a murder trial. But that's jmt.

ETA: For all we know, she's pro Jodi.

J5 is not making an issue of anything. If there is a need to complain, complain to the media for they are the ones who are making it difficult for her to sit in the gallery. She obviously is a woman who knows who she is. Can stand on her own two feet and is not influenced, nor intimidated by suggestions that she'd be better off staying at home and minding her own business. She obviously thinks better of herself than many of her peers so I give her some credit for making an appearance and telling the world she is not that person defense would like you to believe she is.

And you are right, she could be pro Jodi but she is not discussing that right now so it appears she will wait until the verdict is in before speaking up. jmo

DH and I were talking about renting a movie this weekend - Lincoln or Les Miserables - but I think I'll try to find a DVD of Disney's Snow White to refresh my recollection of the fairy tale film.

I had a slight concern about this juror before any of this happened. I don't know why but I didn't allow myself to dwell on foolish worries.

If she is pro-Defense then I'll thank the heavens above that she got off. 'Irony would be rich' for the Defense though.

We'll find out soon enough!

Everytime I see the word irony written out on this forum I want to correct it to the spelling of irony. ;)

I don't think anyone knows. There's been conjecture.

Yesterday was a day in hell for me. Had a colonoscopy first thing yesterday morning and after my daughter took me home I had complications and had to go back..................figured that I would be home for the start of trial or would only miss the repeat and rehash of the last two days. Found out last night that I had missed Juan and was forced to watch HLN to catch his cross. Got too sick to watch and today trying to see what I missed. Thank you to all who posted what was going on. Can't sit too long today. I do see what Juan is doing. He is showing that ALV is making her "guideline" fit every case she is involved in and of course she ends up arriving at the very same conclusion, ie., that every man is an abuser and every woman is the abused. One size fits all, to her.
Gosh, just take it easy. Rest knowing Juan will fix it all!! Rest up for Monday - it's going to be a doozy!

:twocents: I was disgusted by ALV's bulldinky testimony about Jodi -- all based on Jodi's LIES ... and I was totally infuriated :furious: by her continued bashing of Travis !

The defense having ALV as a "domestic violence expert" was a WASTE because there was NO "domestic violence" by Travis -- ALL the "violence" in that relationship was caused by Jodi !

It's sick and disgusting that people "sell their souls" for $$$$$ ... and that is just what Alyce did ... And now she has lost her speaking engagement because of the "backlash" of her outrageous testimony on behalf of a Jodi Arias ... a :liar:

Oh well ... too bad ...

JM now talking about the burglary.

I knew that 'someone' swiped Gramps' gun, but I hadn't realized that it was earlier on the same day that JA and TA exchanged their very first electronic communication regarding his imminent Cancun trip; i.e., May 28, 2008.

I remember that JA says that she was the last person to be at Gramps' house before the burglary occurred. Hmm...

Also the last person to be at TA's house before the ninjas killed him. Hmm again...

And the 'expert' witnesses base their evaluations on the defendant's 'good word'. :notgood:
