Oh and again....remember there is always a drop of truth JAs stories....remember the cd-roms she says TA threw at the wall? Wonder what the whole stroy (truth) is behind that little tidbit she brought up....she made a *huge* deal saying her Cd burner (on her computer) was broken.....or malfunctioning....

Hmmmmm.....

I think you are right. There is something off about this CD she brought. She said in the interrogation on the day of the murder they were trying to do something on his computer with it and there was a virus (little bugs eating the screen) and they couldn't. In her testimony she says the CD was damaged and he became angry and threw it and raped her. What was she really trying to do with this CD? I think at some point that day she went to his office and tried to use this CD to upload things onto his computer but it was password protected. Something is very hinky here. Hopefully they were able to recover things from her hard drive. She keeps bringing it up. I think she may know that Juan knows something about that CD and she is very much trying to explain it away. Can't wait for rebuttal.

If she were a genius she wouldn't get caught, if she were a genius criminal mind.

She got caught. She is cunning. She premeditated. She planned ahead for mitigating factors. This makes her smart.

And her vocabulary is inauthentic and pretentious.

The true psychopathic geniuses, IMO, are at the top of the heap, making our lives miserable.

Okay okay okay......I take back genius....cunning - yes, devious - yes, crazy - no, psychopathic - probably, smart - yes, evil - definitely.

Ted Bundy was really intelligent....but he got caught as well.....just saying.

I wonder, if it is possible, the question "what is the meaning of 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" could have actually been an innocent question asked by a juror that isn't familiar with all of American slang?

  • #1,144
Thanks for that! Bundy (124) was not that bright. Also, cunning and IQ are 2 different things. Lack of fear definitely helps.

JA spent her energies on a fantasy world. If she were really brilliant, she would be a CEO.

Actually, it is estimated that a disproportionate percentage of corporate CEOs (about 10% vs 1-3% of general population) are psychopaths. (This is from the Stout book, "The Psychopath Next Door).

Hmm....remember when Det. Flores was talking to Jodi about Travis' computer and Jodi told him that when Travis' computer is turned on the screen something pops up warning about a virus. I believe one of the prosecutors' forensic guru commented about it in his testimony.

There used to be a screen-saver with bugs crawling around on it...

ALV testified that JA's finger was broken. To me, that simple solitary statement shows that she is either complicit or gullible. I want to see x-rays. I wish there were a way to force JA to have her hand x-rayed. Not that the insane volume of proven lies is not enough for me already. But that finger thing— just bugs the heck out of me for some reason!

I doubt that her finger is broken at all. I'll bet that she has a cut tendon that ws never reattached.

The one thing that I found really amazing is JA's mother telling Det. Flores, I asked Jodi if she had anything to do with T's death.
Now, all of you mothers with children, would you EVEN ask that question? I wouldn't even think to ask my son something like that. She had a suspicion from the beginning,

It's hard to explain, but when I refer to JA and intelligence, it's not in the normal sense. It's a superlative way to twist, kill, confuse, torment and defy normal...
I agree about the abnormal fear response. To them, risk is required to achieve the greatest horror. No pain, no gain, in their very twisted translation.
I pray that she is convicted, but if not, then I guess I will have to deduce that she was in fact, pretty darned 'smart', in the psycho/criminal way .....

I think the standard for psychopaths is to be a successful psychopath, that means, under the radar. To be really successful means not only to be under the radar but to rule the world.

I absolutely agree. For me there's a huge difference between actual intelligence and cunning, ruthless, deceptive, manipulative, crafty, wily 'intelligence'.

My IQ is just 2 points higher than my psychopathic ex. We were pretty well matched intellectually but he would engineer events and manipulate situations in ways I honestly could never have predicted, or even really imagined, because my brain just can't twist quite that much. ;)

Isn't it true that you can only use enough force to stop the threat if you beleive your life is in imminent danger? She went so far beyond that standard that I don't think her claim of self defense can stand up. She's toast.

I believe you are correct. I believe the "duty to retreat" would fall into this case because she clearly had the ability to flee and she was not in her own home. She was not being held hostage nor did she have a weapon on her threatening her life.

Now, she claims that he grabbed her, attacked her blah blah blah, but she also said she FLED away from him yet she didn't flee out the door to safety like she could have, she fled to obtain a weapon to kill him. I just don't see how legally there is a case for self defense, based on evidence and her story.

13-404. Justification; self-defense

A. Except as provided in subsection B of this section, a person is justified in threatening or using physical force against another when and to the extent a reasonable person would believe that physical force is immediately necessary to protect himself against the other's use or attempted use of unlawful physical force.

B. The threat or use of physical force against another is not justified:

1. In response to verbal provocation alone; or

2. To resist an arrest that the person knows or should know is being made by a peace officer or by a person acting in a peace officer's presence and at his direction, whether the arrest is lawful or unlawful, unless the physical force used by the peace officer exceeds that allowed by law; or

3. If the person provoked the other's use or attempted use of unlawful physical force, unless:

(a) The person withdraws from the encounter or clearly communicates to the other his intent to do so reasonably believing he cannot safely withdraw from the encounter; and

(b) The other nevertheless continues or attempts to use unlawful physical force against the person.

13-405. Justification; use of deadly physical force

A. A person is justified in threatening or using deadly physical force against another:

1. If such person would be justified in threatening or using physical force against the other under section 13-404, and

2. When and to the degree a reasonable person would believe that deadly physical force is immediately necessary to protect himself against the other's use or attempted use of unlawful deadly physical force.

B. A person has no duty to retreat before threatening or using deadly physical force pursuant to this section if the person is in a place where the person may legally be and is not engaged in an unlawful act.

Excellent analogy. :loveyou:
ot..my very first post here was thanking the "flock" for being there for me (I was a lurker for years and hid under the covers, reading WS, from a now convicted (but free :(...) abusers. The flock didn't even know I was there....but they waited anyway....

Newbies...please explore other areas of this site...its an incredible place.
With all the new folks...maybe we could find Dylan or Sidney or Bob....or the other thousands of missing people...how about justice for Jessica? Or Nicole? Or the thousands of victims waiting for somebody to find their killers...? Including our own members family and friends.

Who will still be here after this trial is over?

I will.
You guys saved my life.

:beats:

I have been reading here for a long time - my main interest is The Missing and The Unidentified section - I have several pet cases.

I love this place... so many great minds, posts, etc and etc!
So yes I will still be here! :heartluv:

OT over.

Robert De Niro's character was also named Travis.

Exactly! The entire problem with her journal, in my opinion, is there is no way of knowing when the entries were made. Obviously this one is blatantly false, so one has to wonder what other ones are, or if they were totally written after the fact. At least what is found on a computer is "date stamped" vs. this hand-written journal, for example.

MOO
Whoa Nellie! Now I'm thinking back to the struggle over that one journal entry where she initialed off but then the DT flipped because it was not the entire day. Did Jodi make a mistake copying and put the initials in the wrong place?

But an acquittal will.

That is my greatest fear and I won't even allow myself to entertain that thought. We witnessed justice get a kick in the gut before. I don't know that I ever want to feel that way again. But sometimes, the bad guys win, no matter how hard the true and good fight for what's right.
Tricks and lies and cunning work from time to time....

I want to see her held fully and appropriately accountable for what she did.
I don't want the tricks to work.
Please don't underestimate her. Now or ever.

She is not going to be acquitted. You would need 12 idiots for that and the jury, in their questions, don't seem like that. Besides, it's already been done. :)

If you guys have noticed in the pictures of Arias and Travis at the Waterfall and in other pictures I have seen they are wearing "Proud Republicn" hats. The references to names of Reagen (My Daughters name is Ragen, but DEFINITELY NOT names after a Republican!) Hinckley and some of the other names are names of notable Republicans.

I'm so proud of you. It takes a lot of courage and strength to overcome the fear that the abuser has drilled into their victim.

Walk proud.

Plus psychopaths will tell you they have above average intelligence.

just read on twitter that Dr. Phil is paying for Sandra Arias' expenses of attending JAs trial in exchange for her daily notes

Was is tweeted by a reliable source? Twitter is NOTORIOUS for rumors and total untruths going viral. I am not going to believe that until it is confirmed by MSM. Not that I have any trust in Dr Phil - I wouldn't put it past him.

I just saw a commercial where a woman couldn't remember if her first pet was the goldfish or the dog, and she was guessing their names, but got denied access. It had me laughing cause I ran into that situation this week when I forgot a password. Then, I started reading posts like yours.

Today I vow to lie about the first pet name, the first school name I attended. the first street name, and my favorite food to all new people in my life to protect myself. Crazy, huh. :floorlaugh:
