It's been so long... I can't remember what the final straw was for me! lol

I watched part of the episode with the ALLEGED scale model of Travis's bedroom on HLN ... With Jose Baez .. I could feel my blood pressure rising to a dangerous level. Had to turn it off and refuse to ever watch that garbage again.

It doesn't make my blood pressure rise. It just causes my brain cells to die a slow painful death. I hate that feeling.

Remember when Juan asked her about ...I believe it was humping Ryan? And Jodi replied, " why not? I'm single"

If she answered yes or no, she would be doing so much more for her "client". She's so full of herself trying to mock the PA that she just can't do what she's up there being paid to do.

This trial has nothing NOTHING to do with Alyce LaViolette (is that really a real name?). It's about TRAVIS ALEXANDER and his brutal murder at the hand of her "client". She is already lost in the forest and JM has only spent 30 minutes with her on the stand!

BBM ...Very interesting that you bring this up, I brought the same thing up somewhere else today.

The only thing I can say in her defense is that I watched the videos today of her "Are you mad at me" exchange.

Here's the thing, she does seem resistant to simply answering the questions but at the same time, Juan inserts little words that change the line of questioning.

When he says things like always, only, ect...it's as if he's attempting to bend the conversation to get it to go his way later down the line.

As always...:moo:

I see a lot of people banging away about her professionalism but the truth is, he can't badger the witness.. If JA's DT had have a lick of sense they would have objected to this a dozen times already but they don't.

I wouldn't put up with him speaking to me that way. I'd have the judge talk to him.

I have a theory that she used the KY to lubricate the floor so she could drag poor Travis.

She was headed to Ryan Burns house so needed all of her supplies.

Well of course. I should have remembered that. Plus, she was trying to be careful with her money, according to her, so it makes perfect sense.:twocents:

A Wrongful Death suit isn't filed until after the criminal phase is over as until this trial is done Jodi is - according to the law - an innocent person. If she is found guilty (and she will) whoever is Travis's next of kin could file a Wrongful Death suit, but what's the point? Jodi has no money, and there is no "deep pocket" (like an insurance company or employer, etc.) to sue to make the suit worthwhile. A Wrongful Death suit is a civil case, and the award (if won) is money. There isn't any point to the family spending the money for attorney fees to sue Jodi for wrongful death because they'd spend more money they couldn't even get back should they win the suit... as they say, you can't get blood out of a turnip, and Jodi is broke. A Wrongful Death suit only makes sense if there is a big pile of money to go after, and in this case, there's no money to go after as Jodi has none.

I don't think Travis's family is interested in any financial award anyway... they just want justice for Travis's murder through the criminal trial. Even if Jodi escapes the death penalty, they'd still get the satisfaction of knowing she'll spend the rest of her life in prison.

Travis's family could file a wrongful death suit against Arias regardless of whether or not she is found guilty. OJ was acquitted, but the civil suit was still filed. Happens all the time.

I could be totally wrong but I think that whoever constitutes TA's estate would be able to file a wrongful death suit. Could be family, friends, trustees, whomever managed/controls the estate of the deceased.

Only the next of kin has the right to file a Wrongful Death suit. Since Travis had no wife or children and no parents either the next of kin is probably considered to be the eldest sister.

Doesn't matter anyway since the award if the suit is won is money, and Jodi has none. A Wrongful Death suit in this case just doesn't make sense since there is no money to be won.

Could it have been Travis who deleted the pics?

After his throat was slashed and he was being dragged? Nope. She deleted them.

Remember when Juan asked her about ...I believe it was humping Ryan? And Jodi replied, " why not? I'm single"

It was very clear to me watching some of these exchanges that JA was enjoying toying with Juan.

She was just answering to her heart's content.

LMAO so Dr. Phil is wh)$*ng himself around again!

Never could figure out the appeal of that man, everything he says is simple common sense anyway.

I gave up on Dr.Phil when he had the Anthony's on.Are you from Cape Breton Island?I am originally from Nova Scotia, now living in BC.

She uses "body slam" because in her mind it is way more dramatic than "he knocked me down". Just like "i got the wind knoked out of me" is an embellishment. The problem is on cross she had to back off those lies because the details made her fairy tale less believable rather than more believable as she had hoped.

I agree - She used the word "body-slammed" because she has heard TA use that word because he was a wrestler in HS. TA also had parties with his buddies with this new major league. The word "body-slammed" is much more traumatic and "ABUSIVE".....Remember, this JA is a story teller like someone else we know.....

SMH at the bolded word above. If Trayvon had been white, they would have just said, "The family of teenager Trayvon Martin...."

Sorry, being a minority, I just pick up on stuff like that.

Irks me no end.

That's one trial I won't be following. I don't think I'd survive it, regardless of the verdict. The process alone! As the mother of a black teen son...my head would explode.

She didn't need to. The water and blood would have been enough.

He is who he is. That's his normal tone of voice in the courtroom. He's not going to change it. She was trying to annoy him......... and she enjoyed it.

ALV would be proud to see that she was building back her self esteem.
