Why I have no sympathy for Sandy Arias et al = From the cued point for 20 seconds it's party in the courtroom time for Sandy:

ITA. Who's that girl beside her with the tattooed arms - the bride in that wedding video HLN showed where JA was a bridesmaid?

I think SA is waiting to cash in after this trial.

I wonder if she was disinvited, or she mutually agreed with the group this is clearly a bad time for her to speak. They might still have wanted her, but don't want the attention right now.

Like many things, this too shall pass, and although I think they might have a few cancelled conferences in her immediate future, my guess is the dust will settle and she'll be back to pretty much normal.

Isn't she the president of the non-profit that canceled the seminar?

And isn't she the cofounder of the non-profit?

So doesn't that mean she disinvited herself?

(Please excuse if this has been answered. Hard to keep up)

Thanks.
Really horrible, and I didn't know it would also be 🤬🤬🤬-rated, but I can handle it.

Photo is much worse than the drawing. Wounds ook wider than the drawings indicate. Looks like the spine was stabbed. And there is an X-ray that seems to show one vertebra abnormal, so...

I'm not a physician, but all that seems to indicate paralysis could have
immediately resulted from one or more stab wounds.

These photos need to be plastered on the screen ALV has at the witness repeatedly in a loop (except for jodi's and Travis' nudes) as she testifies from now on so she can see who the hell was the REAL VICTIM here!

"feeling the wrath" is a phrase used to describe receiving consequences from God for wrongdoing, i.e., Wrath of God.

The "wrath of God" is a term usually indicating his disapproval of the deeds of the wicked and justifying the inevitable punishments that will befall them if they do not repent. Latter-day Saints believe that his response is a natural application of the law of justice (Mosiah 3:26), which requires that punishments be exacted when God's laws have been violated or the blood of innocent Saints has been shed (Morm. 8:21-41; D&C 77:8). (Morm ref is from Book of Mormon, D&C means Doctrine and Covenants. These are additional "scriptures" Mormons have)

More about wrath of god here:

http://eom.byu.edu/index.php/Wrath_of_God

If Travis were talking about his anger, he would have said, "you will feel my wrath" instead of "feel the wrath."

EXACTLY. And did you notice that both Nurmi and Willmott tried to CHANGE the text from ' THE Wrath' to " MY Wrath."

Whenever they read the text aloud they said 'MY Wrath' because they wanted to mislead the jury into believing that Travis was making a personal threat of revenge.

I have to give ALV some credit for correcting JW during direct. :giggle:

The Mad Men season premier is tonight Apr 7. Think I'll record it to watch Monday morning while I wait for trial to start.

O/T....I love that series, can't wait until tonight!

BBM. Agreed. Whether it was cancelled because the forum didn't want her, or because most of the audience wanted their money back, or because they got some kind of threats, it had to be a wake up call.

Sounds to me not only was the public outraged about ALV and her speaking engagements, many in the DV community are furious with her as well.

i suppose she would cancel due to the publicity of the trial and her safety during this time. i would suspect she's not very popular right now. best wait till this settles and her 15 min of fame is over to start doing seminars again.

I saw on another site where she supposedly said that she herself cancelled because she was exhausted. She probably is, and is probably trying to study up for her date with Juan. LOL

There's something wrong with the universe, because I can't possibly agree with Baden and Allred.

What have they been saying?

In reality she cancelled to spend the day with the DT prepping for Monday's cross-examination by JM. IMOMOO and all that

I think the combination of the state of decomposition coupled with the fact that his body was washed off under the shower leaves room for some doubt on this finding.

All the other physical evidence (and common sense) points towards the gunshot being first. I tend to think the gun was used first and it jammed, and having survived that shot, Jodi had to go to another weapon - the knife.

A .25 doesn't have the 'knock out' power of larger calibers due to the lack of hydrostatic shock from the small and relatively slow moving bullet.

The shell casing was found in the area it would be if fired into the shower(they eject back and to the right) The angle of the bullet track through his sinus cavity downward from right to left is consistent with him sitting in the shower as he was in the last photos taken.

The fact that these small handguns are notorious for jamming when fired by inexperienced shooters (they tend to limp wrist it, preventing the next cartridge to cycle into the firing chamber) also coincides with a shooting first hypothesis.

I think the state should argue it's first degree murder regardless of the sequence of wounds. Because it is. Obviously.

Travis was stabbed, shot, and had his throat slit. It was a violent struggle and he obviously suffered greatly before he died.

it is an interesting intellectual puzzle to think of how it all transpired but I don't feel it is important to finding guilt.

The bullet casing was sitting on top of a pool of blood and the upper portion of it was clean. How would that be possible if TA was shot first?

As to the discussion of the bullet first theory...

I'm one who believes an ME and facts before a proven liar.

IIRC
-The ME testified that the throat slashing would have immediately and completely incompacitated TA.

-The gunshot would have incompacitated him very quickly and that it would have shocked his brain into not being coherant enough to defend himself.

-The knife into the chest would have taken a minute or so before TA was fully incompacitated.

IF shot first, I can't believe that TA could make it down the hall towards the bedroom and have had all those defensive wounds.

As per the ME, the bullet actually went through part of the frontal lobe of the brain, not that far but he believed it would have done some damage. I do agree however, that with the amount of decomposing it would be hard to say either way. But, I would tend to believe any gun shot anywhere to the head even not being fatal would stun you enough to not fight back.

I'm going with knife first until proven wrong :)

Dr. Horn testified that his spinal cord wasn't severed, but nerves from the spine travel outwards throughout the body.

You'll notice that in every lie JA tells she sprinkles a bit of truth, usually it's projected onto someone else (she's never to blame, someone else did whatever, when in fact it's her that did whatever).

So when she was reciting the bs ninja story and said Travis was on all fours screaming he can't feel his legs (because of the ninjas), she was saying that SHE was stabbing him...IMO
Thank you for that site I finally got smart enough to bookmark it!

I believe that 100% and that is why she slit his throat to silence him.

I also do not believe that he was standing or barely able to when he went to the sink.
The blood spatter (to me) looks like he was on his knees.
I get spatter way higher than that when using a water pick at my sink.
